Young Couple Buy First Home Together In Doncaster

A young couple living in Doncaster are over the moon after buying their first home together thanks to a seamless buying experience from housebuilder Taylor Wimpey. 

Lily Fearn, 24, a recruitment consultant, and her partner, Jacob Appleyard, 24, an engineer, moved into their new Taylor Wimpey home at the Holly Hill II development in Doncaster, in February last year. 

The couple were on the hunt for a new build property that came with modern features and a stylish approach to the home. 

Lily says: “We chose a new build property as it’s so much easier to walk into a new, fresh home which is an empty shell and easy to manage. In addition, we chose Taylor Wimpey due to the style and personality each home came with. We do love older homes but it’s harder to find something you like and doesn’t need too much work doing to it, As we aren’t in a position to renovate anything, our home at Taylor Wimpey’s Holly Hill II suits us perfectly.”

A key factor which influenced the couples’ decision to move to Holly Hill II was its convenient location, which allowed Lily and Jacob to commute to and from work easily, with the motorway and additional transport links being nearby.

Jacob adds: “We chose Holly Hill II purely for the location; I was originally working in Scunthorpe and Lily was working in Sheffield, which made the plot the middle point for our commutes to work.”
