New build home is a smash hit with tennis coach

With the country gripped by Wimbledon this fortnight, Matt has discovered the next best thing, and his new home is proving a real winner.

Matt, along with his wife Ana and children Sofia, 8 and Lucas, 4 have bought a brand new home at Devonshire Gardens from Redrow Homes in Harrogate that has not just one, but six tennis courts, right at the end of their road.

It’s a stroke of luck for the tennis-mad family who had been on the lookout for a larger family property near to Harrogate town centre. In an ace move they now find themselves looking forward to moving into their dream new home, just 400 metres from Harrogate Spa Tennis Centre – where Matt, a former Yorkshire doubles champion, is tennis coordinator. Their move is scheduled for later this month.

“We have been living in a flat with no outdoor space of our own and wanted somewhere with a garden and pleasant surroundings for the children to play in,” says Matt. “We liked the idea of a new build and spotted the Devonshire Gardens development. We were immediately impressed, not only with the high specification of the house itself, but its setting and the wide open areas around it – perfect for riding our bikes and enjoying family time in the fresh air.

“As a family we play at the Tennis Centre and I coach adults and children there, so the location suits us perfectly. Ana is a lecturer at Harrogate College which is also not far away so we’re saving on travelling which suits our lifestyle.”

Matt and Ana chose the Argyll four-bedroom semi at Devonshire Gardens from Redrow’s Georgian influenced Regent Collection. “It ticked all the boxes for us,” says Ana. “We love the open-plan layout downstairs and the fact that the kitchen/dining area leads out to the garden. The bedrooms are a good size and we now have a spare room, come office, which is a really handy new addition for us.

“What’s more, Redrow has made the moving process as easy as possible. Debbie and Jake, our sales advisors, have been so helpful, answering our questions and sorting things out. We are really looking forward to getting to know our neighbours and are excited to move into a home with absolutely everything brand new.”

In a convenient location for all that Harrogate town centre has to offer, including a wealth of shops and an excellent selection of restaurants and leisure facilities, Devonshire Gardens also has schools, parks and a host of other amenities within easy walking distance. It is less than a mile from The Stray, the 200 acres of open grassland and verges that wrap around the ‘old town’ of Harrogate.
