Woolwich Home Ticks All The Boxes For Paul And Pedro

Posted 13 July 2021 by Keith Osborne

Paul and Pedro have found a perfect south London home with an apartment at the major Trinity Walk development...

As former residents of Greenwich, East Dulwich and Peckham Paul Law and Pedro Sanchez are no strangers around South London.

They have both enjoyed living south of the Thames for a long time, so when it came to deciding to move from Greenwich and embark on their property search, earlier this year, the couple had a very clear vision about the type of apartment they wanted and what their ‘must haves’ were.

As soon as they saw the 1,150-sq-ft, three-bedroom apartment at WhatHouse? Award-winning Trinity Walk they knew it ticked all the boxes and took up the London Help to Buy scheme.

Pedro,39, explained: “Space was our absolute priority and that rules out many new build developments across London because they are built with a really small square footage.”

Pedro’s experience, as a former event’s organiser meant that he’s an expert when it comes to examining floorplans. He added: “Years of planning large scale events for many people has given me a talent for analysing floorplans and envisaging the way a space will actually function and flow. The benefit of having access to floorplans, online, is that we were able to eliminate many new build apartments without arranging a viewing. It really was only ever Trinity Walk in Woolwich that offered us the space and location we wanted.”

Paul said: “As soon as we walked into our apartment, we noticed the vast amount of natural light flooding into the space. It also has an extra window between the living room and kitchen to provide even more light. A bonus is the fact that we have a view which includes the River Thames that will never change because there will be no more building at our level and above. We have peace of mind knowing our apartment view is preserved. We have two balconies, one off the master bedroom and the other extending out from our living room, which connects the indoor space with the outside. We face east, so we can sit out and enjoy our view over coffee and get the morning sunshine.”

Inside the apartment, the couple are really happy with the amount of storage room and space. Having a separate utility room makes the kitchen far more of a social hub without domestic appliances in the same area.

Paul and PedroWoolwich’s excellent transport links and the arrival of a new Crossrail station also make it a practical location to be based in. Paul works in marketing for a bank in Canary Wharf and Pedro is an executive assistant to a CEO. They have both mainly been working from home but having the DLR on the doorstep and a large retail park in Charlton only a 10-minute bus ride away, means no time is wasted on long journeys.

Paul and Pedro can sense that Woolwich is a place on the up with an emerging cultural quarter. They can see definite similarities between how it and when Peckham underwent a regeneration whilst they were living there, and both believe that their property purchase at Trinity Walk is a wise investment as well as a happy move.

The couple like the abundance of green space and places of interest on their doorstep, such as Woolwich Common and the Royal Arsenal, and they can walk up the river to Greenwich and Blackheath in around an hour. “Everything is just so convenient and easy to access,” Pedro added.

High on their list of priorities, now that retailers and independent stores are reopening again, is “some serious interiors shopping”. The couple are ready to start hunting for stylish touches and bits and pieces to complement their three bedroomed new home at Trinity Walk.

Lovell Homes’ collection of 445 contemporary residences at Trinity Walk include one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and prices start at £355,000 for a one-bedroom apartment. Find out more about Trinity Wharf from Lovell Homes.
