A family with two children has relocated from Luton to the historic Bedfordshire village of Silsoe to move up the property ladder and enjoy the benefits of living in a luxury new home at Hayfield Place. The move was initiated to enable the family to be closer to the girls’ new school in Ampthill.

Samantha and Russell Edwards, eight-year-old Emelia and seven-year-old Ellie have moved into a four-bedroom Harcourt home. The detached house features a large living room, a spectacular kitchen/dining and family area, and a downstairs study, which the family may need to utilise as a ground floor bedroom while their eldest daughter recovers from hip surgery.

Samantha says: “Our two daughters moved to a new school in Ampthill in September and we were keen to move to be close by. We looked at all the options in the area and Hayfield Place was by far the best value for money. The quality and overall finish of our home is amazing and we have so much more space. The ground floor study room gives us the flexibility we need to be able to create a temporary bedroom downstairs while Emelia recovers from hip surgery.

“As well as moving to a new school and home, we have a three-month old puppy cockapoo called Reggie, so you could say we have our hands full! We are so grateful to Hayfield’s sales, site and customer care teams. They have bent over backwards to look after us and have made us feel so special and valued. Moving to Silsoe has been such a blessing and we are thrilled that our two girls have already made friends with the children next door, who happen to be the same age.”

The 14-acre Hayfield Place scheme features 105 executive family houses and bungalows. The homes have been selling ahead of the build programme and the current release of large four- and five-bedroom houses ranges in price from £680,000 to £900,000.

Hayfield Place has been designed to reflect architectural styles from the sought-after historic village, weaving in local materials and detailing. The new homes are being constructed in red and buff brick and render, with a luxurious specification that is unmatched in the area. The specification features include underfloor heating, designer Laufen bathrooms, Minoli ceramic tiles, Hammonds fitted wardrobes, Farrow & Ball paint, heritage bronze door furniture and bi-fold doors. The bespoke kitchens designed by Manor Interiors include a range of integrated Bosch appliances, such as multifunctional ovens, an induction hob, dishwasher and an instant hot tap.

A Renz Intelligent Parcel Box has been installed to enable parcels to be delivered safely and securely to those who aren’t at home. New public footpaths, a balancing pond, a biodiversity corridor that will run across the site, and a new section of bridleway and cycle route are all being created to connect Hayfield Place into the local Bedfordshire footpath network.

The nearby towns of Milton Keynes, Luton and Bedford offer a wealth of shopping, restaurants, entertainment and sporting facilities. Luton airport is 12 miles away, and Flitwick Railway Station is four miles away, making it an ideal location for those wishing to travel for pleasure or commute.

The development is located at High Street, Silsoe, Bedfordshire, MK45 4ES. The show home is open seven days a week from 10am – 5pm.
