Hayfield Oaks Welcomes Its Youngest New Resident

Posted 11 October 2021 by Helen Christie

A new family has moved into a luxury home at Hayfield Oaks in the historic small town of Woburn Sands within the Borough of Milton Keynes…

Baby Alfie was only 10 days old on the moving date, making him the youngest resident Hayfield has ever welcomed into a newly completed home.

Katie, Daniel and baby Alfie live in a four-bedroom Brinklow home, along with their puppy cockapoo Riva. They moved from Towcester in Northamptonshire, 13 miles away, to be closer to family and friends and enjoy a new lifestyle in sought-after Woburn Sands. Their Brinklow home features a spectacular open-plan kitchen/diner, complete with a separate utility room. The principal bedroom benefits from a designer en-suite.

Katie says: “We were really keen to move house when we found out we were expecting a baby, as the Victorian cottage we were living in before had a spiral staircase that just wasn’t suitable for very young children. We spotted Hayfield Oaks when we paid a visit to nearby Frosts Garden Centre. We already knew how nice the area was, because Daniel used to be the manager at Woburn Golf Club. We immediately fell in love with the show home and the development as a whole and came back the next day to reserve – the homes were selling so quickly, and we didn’t want to miss out.

“We are so delighted with the house and the whole experience with Hayfield. When we moved in, we received lots of lovely White Company gifts, a meal voucher and beautiful flowers too. Then Hayfield’s Customer Care team arranged for their handyman to spend a whole day with us putting up hooks, pictures, toilet roll holders and even a wall-mounted television.

“The specification throughout the house is really amazing. Details like the runner on the stairs, the archway window and the Farrow & Ball paint add extra character that we wouldn’t expect to see in a new home. The hallway is so spacious, which is perfect for manoeuvring Alfie’s pram. We love entertaining and the spectacular kitchen diner, with bi-fold doors into the garden is a bit of us!”

Located off Newport Road, Hayfield Oaks comprises 53 Arts and Crafts styled four- and five-bedroom houses, set amongst mature trees. A large interactive model of the new scheme is enabling interested parties to take a closer look at the development layout and various house designs.

Hayfield Oaks is only half a mile from Woburn Sands train station, which is appealing to those wishing to travel for work or pleasure. The quaint high street, quality amenities, excellent schooling and access to breathtaking countryside make the historic town one of the most desirable places to live in the region.

Hayfield Oaks’ seven unique house designs are being constructed in red brick, with render features and part-tiled hanging elevations. Each bespoke kitchen includes a vast range of built-in Neff appliances, as well as an instant hot tap and impressive bi-fold doors leading out to the private garden.

All homes have underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, with the largest homes also benefiting from electric underfloor heating to the upstairs Laufen bathrooms and en-suites. Each home has a dedicated study or smallest bedroom featuring sound-reducing construction to create the ideal work from home environment. Fitted wardrobes are installed into the principal and second bedrooms. Other details include Minoli ceramic tiles, heritage bronze ironmongery, Farrow & Ball paint and Ring doorbells.

The eight-acre scheme is the most spacious in the area, as the development density is half the recommended level sought by government. The family homes have been designed around a central play area with enhanced hard landscaping, conservation style block paving and an impressive feature entrance.

Prices for the current release range from £635,000 to £770,000, with Part Exchange available on selected homes. A five-bedroom show home is available to view seven days a week.
