Having relocated back to the UK after two years in New York, a family of four is thrilled with their new home at Hayfields in the south Oxfordshire village of Southmoor.

The Birney family purchased a five-bedroom detached ‘Eaton’ home at developer Hayfield’s flagship scheme.

Darren Birney is a chartered accountant and it was work that took the family across the Atlantic. He said: “We are originally from Scotland but spent many years living in Oxfordshire before deciding to have a total change of scene and lifestyle and move to New York. When the time was right to come back to the UK, we focused our home search on south Oxfordshire, having lived in North Oxfordshire previously.

“We looked at a number of new developments in the area but were blown away by the kerb appeal of the ‘Eaton’ home and the overall build quality of the Hayfields development. This is the fourth home that we have lived in from new and it is by far the highest quality. The luxurious specification and attention to detail throughout makes such a difference to the overall ambience of our home.”

“It’s not just the home itself where Hayfield’s quality has shone through. The proactive nature of the sales and customer care teams has been impressive. We have been very well looked after throughout the whole process. We are really very happy.”

Hayfields is now 95% sold. In total, the leafy 11-acre development comprises 74 newly built two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom executive houses.

Only one five-bedroom home now remain for sale at Hayfields, priced at £725,000. The ‘Cropredy’ is built in Cotswold village stone and surrounded by landscaped open space, while also benefitting from a beautiful private garden and double garage. A three-bedroom ‘Buckland’ home is also available for sale, priced at £355,000. Common to both are the materials and detailing of locally inspired architecture, the dimensions and the high specification from the Gold-winning WhatHouse? Best Small Housebuilder 2019, this year given a five-star rating by the HBF.

Located off Faringdon Road in the sought-after village of Southmoor, the site was formerly the Fallowfields Hotel, along with its extensive grounds and parking facilities. The development is open daily from 10.00am to 5.00 pm.
