Key Worker Discount Scheme Helps Move To Oxfordshire

Posted 19 May 2021 by Keith Osborne

Paramedics Calum and Lucy upsized from a starter home in Dunstable to a luxurious detached house in Stanton Harcourt...

Two paramedics have relocated from Bedfordshire to Hayfield Green in west Oxfordshire, thanks to Hayfield’s Part-Exchange Initiative and Key Worker Discount Scheme.

Calum Stone and Lucy Kearvell have relocated to both work for South Central Ambulance Service. The couple upgraded from their starter home in Dunstable for a luxury three-bedroom detached ‘Warmington’ house type at Hayfield’s redevelopment of the 21-acre former RAF Stanton Harcourt airfield. The couple benefitted from the WhjatHouse? Award-winning five-star homebuilder’s exclusive Key Worker Discount Scheme, which knocks £5,000 off the purchase price of any home in Hayfield’s portfolio for all those who match the government’s criteria.

Calum said: “We were both excited to be relocating to such a picturesque part of the world and had quite a wide search area that stretched across Oxfordshire and Aylesbury. I grew up in Scotland and living in the countryside is important to me. Lucy loves horse riding, so she wanted to be close to local stabling and riding centres. We took a look at Hayfield Green and loved the uniqueness of the development. The setting is really beautiful and grand and to be honest we haven’t seen any other new homes like it.

Hayfield Green“We loved the ‘Warmington’ design as there is so much living space, and the main bedroom has its own dressing room and en suite. Part-Exchange made our move so much quicker and the £5,000 discount Hayfield gives to Key Workers really helped with affordability. Living here is giving us the peace of mind of having a 10-year NHBC Warranty with all the lifestyle benefits of being surrounded by stunning countryside.”

Located in the historic village of Stanton Harcourt, Hayfield Green is now 95% sold. The mix of 66 traditional brick, stone and render homes are set amongst 21-acres of landscaped open space. Prices range from £495,000 to £525,000 for the three remaining spacious bungalows.

Hayfield GreenThe site was an active airfield during WWII and is notable for having been a departure point for Winston Churchill for the pivotal Casablanca Conference. It was also a starting point for a bomber raid on the German battleship Scharnhorst. The restoration of the air raid and blast shelters, Guard House, Water Tower and Bomber Training Building are all now complete, immortalising the history for generations to come.

With RAF Brize Norton close by, the government’s Forces Help to Buy initiative is available to help Armed Forces Personnel raise deposit funds, while Part-Exchange is offered to all eligible buyers.

Hayfield Green features a luxurious specification, including bespoke Manor kitchens, ROCA Laufen bathrooms, Minoli ceramic tiles, underfloor heating, heritage bronze ironmongery, Hammonds wardrobes and Farrow & Ball paint. All the homes are heated by eco-friendly Air Source Heat Pumps.
