First-time buyers return to their roots at Kings Hundred

Posted 5 July 2017 by Helen Christie

Sarah Smithers, 24, and her partner Matthew Wilson, 28, are delighted to have been able to buy their first home together...

Along with their seven-month-old puppy, Lincoln, first-time buyers Sarah and Matthew have purchased a two-bedroom property at Redrow Homes’ development, Kings Hundred in Bisley, Surrey.

The development was once home to the Bisley factory, which is where Sarah’s dad worked in the 1990s. Sarah remembers meeting her dad after work, waiting by a conifer bush, and now she can see that same spot from the window of her new home.

Sarah says: “Finding a property in a location that holds such special memories is really remarkable, and it really feels like I have come home. In addition to the wonderful location, one thing that immediately drew us to Kings Hundred was the different house types on the development. The homes are all individual and it brings a real sense of life to the area – so you don't feel as though you are on any old 'estate'! It’s close to the shops, has great transport links and, most importantly, plenty of great walking areas for us and Lincoln!

Sarah and Matthew“Our new home really ticks all the boxes – extra bedroom space, a garden, and close to our friends and family. We’re also finally able to put our stamp on our home – I have so many ideas that I want to incorporate that I was never able to do in our rented property beforehand.

“What's more, we have been absolutely thrilled by the service we have received from Redrow from the outset. As an interior designer, I work with many different housebuilders but Redrow stands out from the crowd with its attention to detail, as well as the real dedication to customer service that we have seen throughout our journey.”

The Kings Hundred development is situated just four miles from Woking and incorporates homes from the Heritage Collection, with traditional Arts and Crafts inspired architecture and family friendly modern interiors.

Residents are able to reach London in just 35 minutes by train, but can enjoy the beauty of the Surrey countryside.

Mark Vanson, Redrow Homes (Southern Counties) sales and marketing director, says: “Sarah and Matthew's story is one of a homecoming and we are thrilled that the couple have found their forever home with us. The Kings Hundred site, which resides on the old Bisely factory, has a real emotional connection for many of the residents, and we are pleased to be a part of something which means so much to so many people in the area.

"Interest in the homes at Kings Hundred has been high since the initial launch of the site and we anticipate this continuing with the recent launch of phase two. We would advise all of those interested to get in touch sooner rather than later, to ensure they don't miss out on their dream home on this popular development."

Prices start from £654,950
