Family find their forever home in Stockton

Posted 30 June 2017 by Helen Christie

A family have found their dream home by the river at the landmark Vivo development at Northshore in Stockton-on-Tees...

Living in a brand new four-bedroom home from Lovell and sister company Muse Developments, David, 53, and Glynis, 51, Harrison, along with two of their four children Olivia, 18, and Alex, 20, are now loving life at the water’s edge, taking in views of the iconic Infinity Bridge.

As well as having direct access to scenic riverside walks with their two dogs Bella and Dolly, the family are also tenjoying being closer to Glynis’ brother who already lives at the development. The move has also brought them closer to their oldest child Sam, who is married and lives in Stockton-on-Tees.

Glynis, who works in a school theatre, says: “Before we moved into our new home, David and I were both walking along the river with our dogs. We liked the houses that we saw and were also attracted to living by the river. My brother was already living at the development, who highly recommended the houses and living in the area. We have nice views from our home of the river and the Infinity Bridge.”

The Harrison family previously lived in an old Victorian house, but they decided that they wanted to move to a brand new home.

David, a project manager, says: “It was nice to move into a new home where all the hard work had been done for us. Two of the bedrooms have an en suite bathroom which was appealing to us.

“Our new home is very spacious with high ceilings. We also like the additional floor, as we moved from a two-storey to a three-storey home.”

David and Glynis bought the house off-plan.

Hollie Reynolds, senior residential sales and marketing manager at Vivo Northshore says: “We love being able to ask buyers to visualise the plans as a completed home and then seeing those plans match. Many times when the buyers see the house for the first time, it exceeds their expectations.”

David and Glynis both really liked the area because it is quiet by the river, but it is also central, with the homes in walking distance of Stockton-on-Tees’ centre.

Glynis finishes: “The riverside and Stockton town centre are being well developed with a new theatre hall and hotel being built in the near future.”

Vivo is part of Muse’s Northshore development, and is located around five miles west of Middlesborough, Vivo has excellent national and international travel links and is close to the A66, A1 and A19.

Properties at the development start from £199,950.
