A family have recently moved into David Wilson Homes’ Marston Moretaine development, Marston Fields, after their three-year-old daughter pointed out the foundations of the home whilst walking around the development a year earlier.

Vasile (44) and Nicoleta Baleanu (38), and children Rares (13) and Iris (3) have now settled into a three-bedroom semi-detached ‘Fairway’ style home at the Torry Orchard development.

Originally from Romania, the family took advantage of the Help to Buy scheme as well as the developer’s NHS Deposit Contribution scheme, which allowed them to step on to the property ladder with a 5% deposit and upgrade the home.

Vasile, a charge nurse at Milton Keynes University Hospital, said: “We visited the development in May last year with our daughter, who asked if the foundations of a property were going to be her home. From then, we visited the development every day when I was off work. We have many photos from when we first saw the property up until the day we moved in.

“We moved to Marston Moretaine back in 2011 and fell in love with the village. Our son went to the nursery and then the primary school, so it really feels like our home. When we saw David Wilson Homes were building new homes here, we really wanted to move in.

Tom and the Baleanu family“The house is spacious, and was importantly within our budget. The sales team at the development were very friendly and approachable, and have also been caring since we moved in. We’re very excited to be a part of this new community!”

The quaint historic village of Marston Moretaine is situated almost directly between Bedford and Milton Keynes with Luton nearby, meaning there is a huge choice of urban environments to explore. This also maximises the commuting potential as each town has competitively priced rail links all across the country.

Jason Hearn, sales director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said “We’re delighted to welcome the Baleanu family to the growing community here at Marston Fields. It’s lovely to hear their journey from their daughter first pointing out the property, to them now being settled in to their home. As a company that prides itself on excellent customer service, it is great to hear the positive feedback about the team at the development.”
