Linda and Geoff Davies, a retired couple from Northwich, were looking to downsize from their family home while staying local to the family and friends they have in the area. The couple have a grown up family but wanted their own space in which they could entertain friends and also have enough room for the family to stay over when visiting.
After making enquiries into new build homes in the area, The Davies’ were delighted when they found Miller Homes’ Weaver Grange development on Jack Lane, Moulton, in a tranquil setting overlooking miles of open farmland.
Linda and Geoff were pleased by the prospect of living in Moulton as it was not only local to the area they knew but had the ideal balance of country living and modern conveniences, as well as transport links to bigger cities. The couple were delighted with their new home and after showing it to their daughter Julie, she loved it so much that she purchased the same house type further up the road on the same development; as well as recommending to close friends who moved on to the development after using Miller’s ‘Recommend a Friend’ incentive.
“Geoff and I were so pleased with our new homes that we felt the need to tell everyone about it. Now we certainly don’t have to travel far if we need to borrow some milk! It’s just wonderful having our family a stone’s throw away,” adds Linda.
Both Geoff and Linda and daughter Julie opted for the four-bedroom Tressell house type. The home features a spacious lounge, an open plan kitchen-diner with French doors looking out over the back garden bringing in plenty of natural light and indoor / outdoor living. The first floor offers a luxurious retreat with both the master and second bedroom benefitting from en-suites, with bedroom three and four share a family bathroom.
Geoff says: “We loved how peaceful the development is. “It was just what we were looking for. After arranging a visit to look around the show home and chat with the sales team, we fell in love with the Tressell house type. It ticked all of our boxes with four bedrooms, great entertaining space, integral garage and a cosy living room – we just couldn’t pass it up.”
The Miller Homes sales team at Weaver Grange kept Geoff and Linda up to date during the buying process. Geoff continues: “Sharran was so helpful, she was on hand throughout our journey – we couldn’t have asked for a friendlier face to talk to when we had any queries. We’re so happy to be living in Moulton, especially with our daughter now so close. We never thought it would work out this way, but it’s absolutely perfect.”
The village of Moulton is located in the heart of Cheshire, between the towns of Northwich and Winsford, with the River Weaver running alongside the village offering gentle, picturesque riverside walks.
