Exeter Home Ticks All The Boxes For New Homeowner
Local business owner Garry Benning is the first person to secure and move into a brand new home at Cavanna Homes’ new development, Cavanna @ Elm Park in Exeter, Devon.
Having lived in Exeter his whole life, Garry was keen to stay in the area due to its convenient access to the A380 for travelling to work and staying close to his family who also live in the city.
Whilst house-hunting, he visited new build developments on the outskirts of Exeter but found that a Cavanna home would provide him with everything on his new home wish list. Garry says: “I wanted a house with a garage, nice garden and two parking spaces so that my family could have somewhere to park when they came to visit. I was so excited when I saw that Cavanna Homes had released a house that ticked all those boxes a week after I began searching.”
Following a visit to the Cavanna @ Elm Park marketing suite and meeting with sales advisor Liana Norris, Garry reserved a detached, three-bedroom Steeperton, with a garage, parking for two cars and a South West facing garden. “Garry had a clear vision in mind for what he wanted from his new home, so to be able to find him the perfect property which met all his requirements was brilliant, and he was our first homeowner to reserve shortly after launching in May 2021”, said Liana.
Garry secured his new home off-plan which enabled him to select all the fixtures and fittings and to upgrade to any optional extras. “One of the reasons I wanted to buy a new build home was so that I could add my personal touch right from the start. My mum helped choose the kitchen cupboards and worktops, and bathroom tiles as she has a great eye for detail, and I knew she’d make sure that everything looked good. I’m so pleased with the choices, especially the kitchen, it’s very modern.”
Throughout the build process, Liana kept Garry up to date by sending progress pictures of his new home via WhatsApp. Liana explains: “The homes develop and change every day and I know how much homeowners appreciate seeing progress shots in between their site visits. It’s such an exciting time for them!”
“Liana has been so helpful and supportive from the moment I reserved right through to completion”, adds Garry. “I could see glimpses of the house as I drove to and from work but to have regular updates from her was great. I would recommend buying with Cavanna to anyone as I have been well looked after by the sales and site team throughout the process.”
Garry moved into his new home in March 2022 and has since been settling in and enjoying the space, “I’m very happy with the finish of the house and my favourite room is definitely the kitchen – I love that it gets so much sun during the day. I feel lucky to have such a lovely garden and I can’t wait to spend more time outside during the summer adding plants and flowers for extra colour.
“It’s fascinating to see the other new homes around me develop and change every day – they’re going to be fantastic. I’m looking forward to meeting my new neighbours when they move in.”
