Resident Thriving In Retirement Development In Banbury
Posted 9 November 2023 by
Helen ChristieDorothea, 79, has now been in her new home at Bromford’s Park Gardens, a retirement living development in Banbury, for over a year, and has fully embraced the community spirit of those around her.
Dorothea downsized from her three-bedroom home in Banbury in 2021, and has since benefitted from the comfort and practicality of her new two-bedroom apartment, citing the wealth of features that suit her requirements as reasons for life becoming a lot easier.
Dorothea says: “Not having the responsibility of running a home and garden on my own has helped me to focus on other things and enjoy life without the stresses that can bring. I am loving the apartment lifestyle – and my home has everything it needs: a high-specification kitchen, walk-in shower room and large living and sleeping rooms. I chose to go with Bromford because of how modern the apartments are – and although they are for retirement, they are very spacious.”
Dorothea settled into her apartment very quickly, stating that she enjoys the peaceful feel of her home and that every room serves a purpose, such as using her second bedroom as a hobby room.
Dorothea adds: “There is a fabulous community spirit here, it is a nice area with a lovely countryside backdrop. We have lots of communal areas where some of us regularly convene for coffee, lunch and sometimes a glass of wine - I have made loads of new friends. I have had many conversations with our neighbourhood and development coaches, as well as the facilities manager here, which have gone a long way to helping me adjust throughout the year and enjoy life as much as I can. I chose this particular development because it was the best in the area, with my daughter also living nearby. I would recommend Bromford to my family and friends.”
