First New Build Home For Growing Family In Dorset

Posted 4 October 2021 by Keith Osborne

Tom and Amy have purchased a spacious home ideally located for an 'Outstanding' school for son Max...

Finding a home with plenty of space for a growing family and with easy access to great schools, was a real winner for a Dorset couple – and it was the first time they’d chosen a new build property too.

Tom and Amy Flynn purchased their brand-new home at Barratt Homes’ Quarter Jack Park development in Wimborne, and they couldn’t be happier.

With a 10-month-old baby, the couple wanted to ensure they could find a home with plenty of space to grow into. They also wanted a selection of good schools on their doorstep ready for when their son, Max, reaches school age.

Previously living in Southbourne, Bournemouth, the couple decided to look at the ‘Moresby’ show home at the leading housebuilder’s development 30 minutes away. It was this decision that led to their dream home purchase.

Tom said: “We’ve never looked at a new-build home before, but we decided to take a look around the three-bedroom ‘Moresby’ at Quarter Jack Park. As soon as we stepped in, we knew it was the kind of property we were after. Detached and with plenty of space for our growing family, we couldn’t wait to reserve one for our own.”

And with Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ schools nearby, Tom and Amy could have the peace of mind they would have a good choice available for Max when the time comes.

Amy said: “Making sure we were close to good schools was an important factor for us. It’s a way off for Max, but we wanted to be certain we could live here for a number of years to come.”

The ‘Moresby’ is a three-bedroom property with a bright and airy lounge and a modern kitchen with dining space and French doors to the garden. Downstairs, there's also a cloakroom and handy storage space in the hallway. Upstairs, there’s an en suite main bedroom, one further double bedroom, one single bedroom and a family bathroom.

Barratt Homes Quarter Jack Park is range of two- and three-bedroom homes in the traditional town of Wimborne, with local schools, shops and family friendly pubs and restaurants nearby, along with excellent transport links.

Tammy Bishop, Barratt Homes sales director, Southampton division, is over the moon to see that the housebuilder’s development has provided a dream move for Tom, Amy and Max. She said: “We have a number of spacious family homes to choose from here in Wimborne, in a great location. The Flynn family can be safe in the knowledge that their ‘Moresby’ home will be perfect for them for many years to come, and I wish them all the best.”

Tom added: “We are looking forward to seeing Max grow up within this brand-new community.”

Barratt Homes has sold 95% of the properties at Quarter Jack Park and is about to release the final two-bedroom homes there.

Right now, sister brand David Wilson Homes has three- and four-bedroom homes for sale at Quarter Jack Park priced from £375,000 to £575,000.
