#WhatHouseWed: Property of the Week – Maine Tower at Harbour Central, London E14 from Galliard Homes

Posted 15 July 2015 by Keith Osborne

Recently launched with all the pizzazz you might expect of a landmark development in London’s Docklands, Harbour Central will incorporate five residential buildings and a leisure complex. The focal point will be Maine Tower, a 41-storey building with a range of luxury apartments that will appeal to someone working in the area, or international investors.

This new scheme is situated less than 10 minutes from the heart of Canary Wharf and will provide, in total, 642 private apartments, providing studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom properties along with eight penthouse apartments. Many will have impressive panoramic views across the capital and further afield.

With one-bedroom apartments currently being offered from £610,000, buyers will expect a high level of opulence and that’s what they’ll get from the moment they enter the foyer, all of which have been interior designed by Nicola Fontanella of Argent Design.

The lifestyle is enhanced by the leisure complex, which is set to include a Residents’ Club  with a proposed library, concierge, gym and spa, business suites and cinema.

Situated in the centre of the West India Docks, Canary Wharf is considered the centre of the London Docklands, its imposing commercial buildings peppered with a vast array of shops, restaurants, bars and public spaces.

It’s also well connected – under ten minutes’ walk from Harbour Central are South Quay and Canary Wharf DLR stations, bringing the rest of the capital within easy reach. From Canary Wharf, the City (Bank) is 11 minutes away, Stratford 17 minutes via the Jubilee line and the West End (Oxford Circus) can be reached in 23 minutes via the DLR and Tube.

Don’t forget the Thames Clipper services along the river, which provide regular, fast and scenic connections to key commuter hubs, including Canary Wharf, Tower Hill, London Bridge, Greenwich, Embankment and Waterloo.

Crossrail comes to Canary Wharf in 2018, which will dramatically improve transport times through the capital and out to Heathrow – ideal for international travellers.
