#WhatHouseWed: Property of the Week – 219 Park Road, Kingston upon Thames, via Featherstone Leigh
For our second WhatHouse? Wednesday (#WhatHouseWed) Property of the Week, the development which really caught our eye was in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, a collection of just six four- and five bedroom homes in a thoroughly contemporary style, for sale through agent Featherstone Leigh.
Located just minutes from the verdant escape of Richmond Park, the properties at 219 Park Road are electronically gated and set back from the main road, built around a courtyard. Two four-bedroom homes and the impressive five-bedroom show house are available on the first release.
All the properties here have achieved a Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 standard, which means a comprehensive range of eco-friendly features contributing to lower running costs. This includes photovoltaic roof cells, high-quality, energy-efficient appliances, high levels of insulation and high performance windows and bi-fold doors.
The show home underlines the quality provided at each of these properties. This includes a bespoke, stylish kitchen by Schuller with white glass and light-grey lacquered units, with integrated Siemens appliances, and “must-have” top-end details such as pop-up worktop electrical points and a threeway tap providing hot, filtered cold and ‘instant’ boiling water.
Other features which have been incorporated include Italian porcelain floor and wall tiling, chic fixtures and fittings to bathrooms and en suites, walk-in wardrobes to some bedrooms, underfloor heating to the ground and lower ground floors, and walnut flush internal doors with Milano Nero ironmongery.
Home technology has not been forgotten : there’s an integral sound system and intelligent, programmable lighting from Rako pre -wired in all the main rooms, and last but certainly not least, a NACOS-approved security system and remote video entry.
Every property also has a landscaped garden and decked/paved patio area, LED-lit paving to the driveway and parking areas, and for privacy, cedar fencing surrounds.
Russell Mann, director of new homes at Featherstone Leigh says: “This is a fantastic opportunity for buyers and investors to purchase a luxurious new home in a vibrant and leafy suburb of London. With just three of the six homes available in the first release, we anticipate demand to be extremely high for these properties, which are perfect for families or couples who are looking to move or settle in a place that offers city convenience and country charm; the capital’s largest Royal Park is almost on your doorstep.”
These new homes are located just one mile from the shopping and leisure provided in Kingston town centre, and are perfectly suited to families as they are within easy reach of numerous great state and private schools, for example the ‘Outstanding’-rate Tiffin School and Kingston Grammar. South West Trains runs a fast, regular service from Kingston to Waterloo in 28 minutes, perfect for the daily commute or a weekend leisure trip.
