This long weekend is a great chance to go searching for an ideal property together, and many housebuilders are launching and offering a range of special offers and incentives at events on their developments.
Here are few to explore.
Launches
Lovell is opening the doors to a new four-bedroom show home at Keepers Gate in Weston-super-Mare on Saturday 15th February with special incentives when reserving that weekend.
Thinking of purchasing a special, age-exclusive retirement home? Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th February is the launch weekend of Fleur-de-Lis, in Crowthorne. Apartments from £325,000.
Abbey Homes is launching St Nicholas Place , close to Oxford city centre, on from 10.00am on Saturday 15th February. It’s a collection of 122 houses and apartments with eco credentials such as solar panels and electric car chargers to each home. Special offers are a £5,000 reduction from list price, Stamp Duty paid, a £500 contribution towards legal fees, carpets fitted and rear gardens turfed.
A new phase of homes launches at Port Loop, Birmingham on Saturday 15th February, between 11.00am and 6.00pm. These properties are constructed offsite and on selected plots, buyers can pre-configure their home for room layouts and finishes before it gets delivered. Prices start at £308,000, with Help to Buy and Shared Ownership options.
Notting Hill Genesis is launching Shared Ownership (part buy/part rent) apartments at Godfrey Place in Shoreditch, east London, on Saturday 15th February. Each property has its own private balcony, and buyers can purchase between 25% and 75% initially, paying a subsidised rent on the remainder. Prices start at £145,000 for a 25% share (based on a full market value of £580,000).
Events and offers
Special incentives event taking place at Taylor Wimpey’s Greenhill Gardens development in Haywards Heath on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th February. There are special offers which will only be available during the event weekend.
Open House event taking place at Nursery Gardens in Wimblington on Saturday 15th February, 11.00am to 4.00pm. Help to Buy is available with starting prices: £260,000 for the bungalows, £275,000 for a three-bedroom house and £300,000 for the four-bedroom homes.
Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes hosting an exclusive event on Friday 14th, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th February at Brooklands and Brooklands Park in Milton Keynes. Special offers of romantic weekend for two and vouchers for reservations of four- and five-bedroom homes over the weekend.
Lovell Homes is inviting house-hunters in Suffolk to an Open House in Gislingham from 10.00am to 5.00pm on Saturday 15th February at St Mary’s View. Seven house types available there, with three, four or five bedrooms, priced from £300,000, £450,000 and £525,000 respectively.
Lovell in Lincolnshire has unveiled special offers on a four-bedroom ‘Leyburn’ house type Ingleby View in Saxilby (£8,000 worth) and The Spires in Branston (£5,000 worth) for reservations up to Sunday 16th February.

Taylor Wimpey is hosting a See It, Love It, Buy It event at its Herdwick Gate development in Shipston-on-Stour this weekend. On Saturday 15th February, between 11.00am and 5.00pm, to find out more about the homes there and the government-backed Help to Buy scheme. It is also the launch weekend of the new, three-bedroom ‘Keydale’ view home.
There’s an incentive event taking place at Taylor Wimpey’s Croft Gardens development in Spencers Wood, near Reading, on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th February, between 10.00am and 5.00pm. Carnation House at the development is a collection of contemporary two-bedroom apartments, available from £247,500. House-hunters will be able to reserve one for just £99 and have a choice of incentives on selected plots such as Stamp Duty paid, full legal fees paid, a furniture package or a £2,000 John Lewis voucher.
