Newbury Development Appealing To Those Leaving London

Posted 20 December 2021 by Helen Christie

Property firm Solomon New Homes is bringing their eye for forward-thinking residential apartments from unused commercial buildings to Newbury, Berkshire…

Strawberry Hill will be the latest of a range of ultra-modern developments Solomon has worked on, their first in the South of England.

The once high-end office building will be developed into sophisticated residential studios and apartments. Strawberry Hill will contain 191 units made up of 16 studios, 164 one-bedroom and 11 two-bedroom apartments over three stories.

The new development is adding to the mass exodus of Londoners craving a more rural lifestyle, with the population set to grow by 10,000 over the next 20 years as more professionals are set to make the move to the countryside.

With young families seeking open-plan living, Solomon wanted to allow as much natural light into the building as possible. All apartments are equipped with the latest homeware appliances and modern furnishings. Strawberry Hill is also within close walking distance to the town centre, local railway station and other commuter hubs.

The development features a large central glass atrium that floods the space with light, this area will be dedicated to work and socialising for residents. Amenities also include spacious work areas, gym media screening room and dedicated concierge service.

Solomon founder, Andrew Ward comments: “Having such a strong presence in the North for more than 15 years we are delighted to bring our development marketing expertise to the South. Strawberry Hill in Newbury is the perfect development and area for our expansion into the region. Newbury is a beautiful part of Berkshire that offers a work life balance to up and coming professionals and families that are seeking a more tranquil living situation.”

Prices start from £193,250 with the development on track for a Q1 2023 completion date.
