Ridgeway Views by L&Q - Show Home Room by Room

L&Q at Ridgeway Views is an attractive collection of 131 high-quality Shared Ownership homes in the leafy suburb of Mill Hill, North West London.

The recently launched first phase comprises a selection of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, all benefiting from private outside space, parking, gym and concierge – features commonly associated with significantly more expensive homes.

The site enjoys an enviable hilltop position that blends leafy suburban living and city connections – with Mill Hill East and Mill Hill Broadway stations a short distance away. Catherine Wilman Interiors were responsible for the eye-catching two-bedroom show apartment. Here, Catherine Wilman, director of the firm, gives us the lowdown on the design and inspiration.

Living room: “We wanted to keep the living space light and airy with the occasional burst of bright colour.  By selecting autumn tones of orange, beige and browns with a contrasting turquoise, it gives the apartment a warm, inviting feel. Mixing linens with velvets and floral designs creates an eclectic combination of materials for texture and interest.”

Master bedroom: “For the master bedroom we wanted the mood to be restful and grown up with a delicate, subtle blend of colours. By using a full-width headboard it makes the room appear wider, while we introduced a few gold accent pieces and a double chest of the drawer with a textual front, combined with accent gold handles.” 

Second bedroom: “The second bedroom has a more youthful feel. For the backdrop behind the bed, we used feature palm wallpaper by Cole & Son – reflecting the leafy views directly outside the window. Introducing a rustic element brings a room to life and our wicker wardrobe certainly did the trick, complemented by the on-trend blue desk, Aztec pouffe and fun textural cushions.”

Catherine concludes: “This was a fun project to work on overall. It’s a bright and welcoming apartment with lots of space, plenty of storage and a must-see interior scheme, of course.”
