Retirement And Age-Exclusive Developments In The North

Posted 15 July 2021 by Keith Osborne

There's a real variety of new homes for sale on developments dedicated to older people located across the North of England...

The Covid-19 pandemic has seen a surge in interest in moving home as people’s priorities have changed and for older people in particular, so closely observing lockdown and social distancing, being at home so much highlighted what they really want from their home.

One option that older buyers have is the increasing number of developments aimed specifically for them, whether age-exclusive or with retirement living amenities and services. They provide not just the low-maintenance benefits of new build homes, but also the sense of community, like-mindedness with neighbours, and amenities and services that general developments may not provide.

There’s a great choice of these types of homes across the North of England right now.

It is an opportunity for refreshments while meeting the team at the in the communal gardens, and finding out more about the over-60s apartments and the lifestyle on offer.

Fiona Brooks, divisional sales and marketing director, said: “This year of course things are a little different, but we are thrilled to be able to once again open up our developments to visitors, in a safe and controlled way. The pandemic has led to a shift in focus for many people, with time to reflect on the suitability of their housing needs, location and priorities for retirement. The McCarthy Stone lifestyle is all about living life to the full, and staying as independent and active for as long as possible. Come to along to our summer party for a chat and a slice of cake, and to meet those who already call The Cedars home. After all, they’ll tell you everything you could need to know!”
