Perthshire offers new homes buyers a great location and excellent connectivity

Posted 14 July 2014 by Keith Osborne

Known as the gateway to the Highlands, Perthshire has plenty to offer. Spectacular countryside lends itself to unsurpassed outdoor activities, while Perth itself offers everything you'd expect from a city. Commuters to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Stirling are well catered for with excellent road and rail links in place. House-hunters looking for a new home in Perthshire will find it difficult to choose between the developments on offer here.

The Inches is a new development by Bellway Homes in the Edinburgh Road area of Perth, just five minutes from the city centre. The scheme boasts a selection of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom properties with something to suit most tastes and budgets. The ‘Birkdale I' house type comes in at £282,995 and is a detached villa designed for modern family lifestyles. On entering the home, the hallway leads to a living room at the front of the property and an open-plan breakfasting kitchen and dining area with doors to the rear garden. Upstairs two of the four bedrooms have en-suites and there is a family bathroom. A utility room, cloakroom and double garage complete the property.

Buyers looking to find a new home in Crieff should act quickly as just one property remains available at Stewart Milne Homes' popular Strathearn View development. The ‘Rowan' is a contemporary terraced home priced from £92,995 and comprising an open-plan kitchen and living area, master bedroom with walk-in wardrobe, a study and a bathroom. The traditional market town enjoys a lively vibe and has a great choice of bars and restaurants as well as a mixture of independent and high street retailers.

Due to the scenic views afforded of Strathearn from around the district, Ogilvie Homes also has a development named Strathearn View. This site is located in the picturesque Bridge of Earn near Perth and offers buyers a collection of family homes. For example, the ‘Esk' house type is a four-bedroom detached villa costing £270,000. Benefits include a formal lounge to the front of the property, family room, open-plan dining kitchen, en-suite to the master bedroom and a garage. Surrounded by scenic countryside yet only ten miles from Perth and within an hour of Edinburgh and Glasgow by train, the scheme is ideal for families looking for the best of both worlds.

A number of housebuilders including Robertson Homes, CALA Homes and Persimmon Homes also have plans for future developments in the Perthshire area, with new sites set for Auchterarder and Perth.
