More launches, offers and events from the new homes market around the UK to interest serious buyers of new build property

It's been another busy week for events, launches and offers for homebuyers across the country who are serious about buying a new build property…

JOHNS&CO market new Ballymore development at West Hampstead Square

JOHNS&CO, the specialist sales, lettings and property management agent for the premium new homes and luxury real estate market, is marketing a new collection of luxury studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments at West Hampstead Square. The new development marks the first new build scheme of its kind to come to the area, which is known for its Victorian homes and mansion blocks.

West Hampstead Square consists of seven apartment blocks in total, five of which have been named after famous authors with local connections, following a competition that was run by developers, Ballymore, asking for contributions from the local community. The five blocks will be called Hardy, Orwell, Beckford, Lessing and Milne, the inspiration for which is that all five authors lived in West Hampstead at one time or another.

Studio apartments start at £375 per week and £510,000 to buy; one-bedroom apartments are available from £460 per week and £640,000 to buy, while two-bedroom apartments range from £600 per week and £890,000 to buy and three-bedroom apartments start at £750 per week and £1.2m to buy, with a penthouse for sale for £2.1m.

Acorn Property Group to redevelop landmark building in Porthcawl

Acorn Property Group has successfully obtained planning permission and listed building consent for its redevelopment of a Grade II listed Victorian landmark building in Rest Bay, in the coastal town of Porthcawl.

With views across Rest Bay and over the neighbouring Royal Porthcawl Golf Club the development will provide 69 luxurious apartments, 35 of which will be within the Grade II listed building and 34 new build apartments wrapping around a central courtyard.

When Acorn entered into the Joint Venture Agreement to become the development partner with the landowner, the scheme had an existing residential consent, however with over 20 years experience on renovation projects, Acorn recognised that there was scope for considerable improvement.

James Groombridge, managing director of Acorn’s Cardiff office says: “The revised permission on the listed building will provide an additional 6,296 sq. ft. of net internal space. In addition, all apartments have been carefully reviewed in order to maximise views and ensure configuration of living accommodation. As part of this review we ensured that all apartments include plenty of storage, provided individual access and private amenity space to many ground floor apartments and increased parking standards providing two spaces per dwelling.”

Kier Living raise money for Alzheimer’s Society

Kier Living Eastern welcomed house hunters, architects and landscape gardeners to Aston Clinton to enjoy cupcakes and coffee in aid of Alzheimer’s Society. The developer also unveiled its beautiful Farrendon Court development and gave tours of its new show home.

The housebuilder raised at least £300 at the event for the charity thanks to the generosity of its guests. David Thomas, sales and marketing director at Kier Living Eastern, says: “It was wonderful to welcome everyone to Farrendon Court and raise money for such an amazing charity at the same time. We have been supporting Alzheimer’s Society for the past 12 months and look forward to continue doing so over the next year. We have many more events planned to raise money for the charity.”

Farrendon Court is a collection of 29 homes located in the village of Aston Clinton, just a 15-minute drive from the town of Aylesbury. House hunters can view the show home at Farrendon Court every Thursday to Monday, 10am to 5pm.

Prices for four bedroom homes at Farrendon Court start at £599,995.
