Posted 18 January 2018 by Keith Osborne

We look at some of the events, launches and special offers for house-hunters at new homes developments over the next few days...

It’s only the third week of the year, but the new homes market across the UK is now working at full pace at thousands of developments across the UK. Here, we give you some of the very latest launches, offers and events taking place very soon…

Just a few homes remain for sale at south Devon development

Canes Meadow, a development from David Wilson Homes located a few miles east of Plymouth in the village of Brixton, has been a popular choice for buyers in the area and now there are just six homes left to purchase there.

Among the remaining homes is the three-bedroom ‘Archford’ style of three-bedroom homes, priced from £269,950, as well as four-and five-bedroom house types such as the ‘Chelworth’, ‘Emerson’ and ‘Manning’, priced from £429,950.

“We are delighted buyers have chosen to make Canes Meadow their new home,” says sales director, Sara Parker. “It’s an encouraging sign that we’ve made the right decision when choosing the setting for this sought-after new development. Particularly popular here at the moment, are our beautifully-designed three bedroom homes. They suit a range of different buyers - from those entering the property market for the first time to young families seeking more room to grow into.”

Located on the northern fringe of the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Brixton is on the doorstep of lovely countryside and coastal areas and just five miles from the centre of Plymouth.

Launch event taking place for new homes in Hull

Beal Homes is hosting a launch event for its Fruit Market development of new homes in Hull this weekend, where it will put the first homes for sale at the UK City of Culture’s first ‘urban village’.

Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 January, held in Building C at the @TheDock development between 10.00am and 5.00pm both days, gives buyers the first chance to see the choice of properties on offer at the scheme, which is a joint venture between the housebuilder and developer Wykeland Group, and a chance to secure one they want at the much-anticipated regeneration site. Some 2,000 people have already registered an interest in the 101 homes at the development.

Richard Beal, chairman and managing director of family-owned Beal Homes, says: “This will be a residential development unlike anything seen previously in Hull or East Yorkshire. The Fruit Market offers not just a place to live, but a unique lifestyle opportunity – the chance to be part of a new, vibrant community where people love to live, work and play, and where residents have everything they need close to hand. We’ve had huge interest in the Fruit Market and we expect the launch to be very well attended.”

The first homes will be ready to occupy at the end of this year, with a choice of one-, two- and three-bedroom homes of varying types, including townhouses and duplex apartments, arranged in mews style around four private courtyards.

Final few homes at Edinburgh development available

The final homes at CALA at Dalmeny Park are on the market and not expected to be so for long at the popular development in South Queensferry in West Lothian, a few miles west of Edinburgh.

Release of three Shared Ownership homes in Wyboston

House-hunters on a budget looking for their first home now have an opportunity to enter the market with Shared Ownership, with the release of three houses on the government-backed scheme at The Lane, a development from Stonewater Homes.

There are two- and three- bedroom homes available, with prices starting at £88,000 for a 40% share (based on a full market price £220,000). Priority is being given to people with a strong connection to the local area for the homes that mix design that is inspired by traditional homes in the area, with a thoroughly modern build quality and interior specification. Each property come with a private back garden with a patio and parking provision.

“With the average open market home in Bedford more than nine times the typical local wage* many people are finding it harder and harder to find a good-quality home close to their family, friends and place of work which they can realistically afford,” says Victor Inegbese, the Stonewater Homes sales executive for the scheme.

“We are really excited to be releasing these new homes at The Lane which are within easy driving distance to St Neots and Bedford towns with their shopping and business facilities. Wyboston village is also close to a main line station at nearby St Neots and the A1 Great North Road and the M1.”
