Outline planning permission granted for South Hams development

Acorn Property Group has been granted outline planning permission for 65 new homes on a greenfield site in the Devon coastal village of Chillington, on the edge of the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

"Achieving planning on a site bordering an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has its challenges and is a great achievement for us but proves yet again that good design, planning expertise and hard work, does pay off!" says Robin Squire, regional managing director of Acorn’s Bristol division.

With planning consent granted, the next step for the company is to undertake the detailed design of the scheme and deal with the ‘reserved matters’ (aspects of the scheme not covered in the outline permission) and is hoping to start work at this site before the end of this year.
