Easy Move weekend at Plymouth development this weekend

Barratt Homes is attracting house-hunters in the Plymouth area to a special event this weekend at its Reflections development, to give them a chance to speak to their sales and marketing team about how they can help buyers of new homes move more quickly and cheaply.

The Easy Move Weekend takes place over Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 April at the development in Hooe, on the southern outskirts of the city, just three miles from its centre. Barratt’s Movemaker scheme sees the company liaising with estate agents to find a purchaser for the client’s old home, saving them hassle and agency fees.

“We want to help people change their lives in just 24 hours with this dedicated weekend so we can value your current home on the day and put that straight onto the housing market so you can make a fast move to Reflections,’’ said sales director Sara Parker. “We have a number of two bedroom apartments ready to move into so this is a perfect opportunity for anyone to come and have a look at the final homes here.”

At the flagship Compass Point apartment building, every single property benefits from a waterside view and a terrace or balcony. All of the apartments are available to purchase through the government-backed Help to Buy scheme. Prices at the development start at £204,995.

Green light for new development in Rutland

Lovell has been given permission to build 35 new homes in Greetham, north Rutland, in a £7.25m housing development of 23 private sale homes and 12 affordable homes that will be managed by Waterloo Housing Group.

The village development, about six miles from the market town of Oakham, will comprise a mix of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom houses on a brownfield site once occupied by the Greetham Garden Centre. The design of these new homes will be based on nearby established homes and local architecture and materials. Work will start this month, with completion expected by the end of 2018.

“We’re extremely pleased to be bringing these attractive properties to Greetham, providing both homes for sale and affordable homes for Waterloo Housing Group,” says Lovell regional managing director Robert Adams. “This high-quality development will deliver a range of homes of different sizes with something to suit both couples and families and offers all the benefits of living in a thriving village community.”

Anthony Riley, Waterloo Housing Group director of development and operations, adds: “We are absolutely delighted to be working in partnership with Lovell to deliver these new homes in Greetham. It is wonderful to see affordable new homes being built to meet local housing needs.”
