New Square to be launched at Bedfordshire scheme

Posted 30 May 2014 by Keith Osborne

A new Central Square will be added to a residential community being built at the King's Reach development in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.

The tree-lined market square will be positioned at the heart of the new development and will feature a wide selection of new facilities, including a school and separate nursery, retail space, care home, Tesco Express and café.

King's Reach will provide up to 2,100 new homes over the next five to six years, together with retail and leisure facilities, new play and recreation areas, woodland and open space.

Martin Grant Homes is contributing to the development by developing 650 homes, as part of its Penrose Park scheme.

Providing a mix of high-quality one- and two-bedroom apartments two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, some of the homes at Penrose Park, which are priced from £239,950, will be centred around the new square.

"When planning the King's Reach and Penrose Park development, we thought carefully about putting the houses in the right location and in the right environment," said Michael Meanley, managing director at Martin Grant Homes.

He added: "With the new community facilities we are installing - we are creating a new place with the right attributes so that people want to live here and are proud of living here."
