Housebuilder’s Virtual Tours Of Kent Show Homes
Serious house-hunting from the comfort of home has become the norm since lockdown and Jones Homes Southern has been quick to react to the emphasis on desktop research.
At Appledown Grange in Marden, Kent, three of the remaining house types now have a 3D tour which enables the customer to take a virtual walk around the home, opening doors and climbing stairs as they go.
Sara Stanhope, sales and marketing director for Jones Homes Southern, said: “We recently reopened our show homes by appointment only, but a physical visit to a development now takes place much further into the process. Customers are making their initial selection online and the resources we have to help them have become crucial.
“While our developments were closed, we still took reservations remotely, including at Appledown Grange. The 3D tour proved such a powerful tool that once we were able to return to site, we immediately commissioned new tours of ‘The Hollin’ and ‘The Hamilton’ house types.
“We have found that customers enjoy taking a virtual walk through the home and the Matterport technology gives a real sense of being in the room. People can also virtually view the whole of Appledown Grange through our new drone video so they can see where they would be living.
“We are pleased to be able to welcome customers to our developments again but for the foreseeable future, we anticipate that early online research will be how their journey to their new home begins.”
Just four homes remain for sale at Appledown Grange, all completed and ready to move into. They range from three-bedroom semi-detached to five-bedroom detached houses with prices between £389,995 and £590,000, all qualifying for purchase through Help to Buy.
