Keith OsborneHouse-hunters in South Yorkshire area who aspire to homeownership but have only a modest budget that isn’t enough to buy outright can find several chances to ‘part buy-part rent’ a brand new properties at some developments in the county thanks a partnership between Barratt Homes and heylo to offer the Home Reach scheme.
For buyers who meet the eligibility criteria, Home Reach is an opportunity to purchase a share of a new build home (usually starting at 50%) and pay a subsidised rent on the remainder, with housing provider heylo as the landlord. The scheme is offered on selected plots at developments across England and provides all the benefits of homeownership but requires a much smaller deposit (5% of the share price) and a smaller mortgage than when purchasing outright. Over time, owners can buy further shares as their budget allows, until they own 100%.
Home Reach is available at a few Barratt Home developments in South Yorkshire right now.
Kings Lodge is located just outside Hatfield, six miles north-east of Doncaster and only three miles from the M18 and M180. The village itself and neighbouring Stainforth have independent shops, cafés and pubs, and just a few minutes away are a number of major supermarkets. There are ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted-rated schools in the area.
