Home Of The Day - The ‘Juniper’, Hurstwood Homes
On our search for brand new homes across Lancashire, the WhatHouse? team has come across a notable home type at Newchurch Meadows, a Hurstwood Homes development in the popular Rossendale district the south-east of the county.
The ‘Juniper’ house type really caught our eye, both for its exterior design and its specification. This four-bedroom detached house offer 1,360 sq ft of living space, not including its integral single garage. Beautiful pale stone, together with grey roof tiling, reflect the local traditional architectural style but it has been done with a modern twist and of course is much more energy efficient than an older building would be.
From the welcoming porch and into the hallway, off to one side at the front of the home is a comfortable lounge which comes with a feature fireplace and a handy storage cupboard under the stairs. At the rear is the ‘heart of the home’, an open-plan kitchen/dining room flooded with light from a glass roof conservatory, with French doors to the garden. Off this room is an utility space – really useful for decluttering the main living area – and there’s a downstairs cloakroom. Upstairs, the master bedroom has an en suite shower room while the other two doubles and a single bedroom share the family bathroom.
All the homes at this development are impressive not just for their attractive design. Around the home, the specification includes a SieMatic kitchen with quartz worktop and Neff appliances, gas central heating, Duravit and Hansgrohe fittings to the bathroom, laminate flooring to the kitchen, lounge and corridor areas, carpets fitted to all bedrooms, neutral white and egg white walls, ceilings and woodwork, and TV connections to the lounge and double bedroom.
There are currently three of the ‘Juniper’ house type for sale at Newchurch Meadows, all with a starting price of £545,000.
