Home of the Day – ‘The Bridgewater’, Lewis Homes

Posted 2 November 2021 by Keith Osborne

‘The Bridgewater’ is an impressive house type, part of a range available at Dôl Werdd in Plasdŵr, from Lewis Homes…

The WhatHouse? team is always on the lookout for notable new build properties and we’ve spotted ‘The Bridgewater’, a three-storey design which Lewis Homes is selling at its Dôl Werdd development in the growing garden city of Plasdŵr, near Cardiff.

It’s a great example of three-storey living, which is a very popular choice for many buyers these days due to the typical amount of floor space for the ‘footprint’ of the plot, and the flexibility that the layout can offer. ‘The Bridgewater’ is currently available on Plot 6, priced at £384,950.

At the front on the ground floor is a kitchen with plentiful storage and worktop, while at the rear is the open-plan living/dining room which has French doors to the rear garden. Also on this floor are a WC and some handy storage under the stairs. Up to the second floor and there’s another lounge – this one with a Juliet balcony overlooking the garden – the family bathroom and a single bedroom at the front which could make an excellent office or hobby room. There are three bedrooms on the top floor, with an en suite to bedroom one and the other two sharing a shower room. In total, there’s 1,548 sq ft of living space. This home comes with a single detached garage and a driveway for two cars.

Dôl Werdd is part of the growing Plasdŵr community situated between Cardiff city centre and the village of Radyr. The Lewis Homes development will be providing an array of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties, with apartments and house to suit all sort of buyers and budgets.

The larger development has been planned to be up to 40% green space, including managed heritage woodland, parks and play areas. This complements the shops, offices, health and leisure centres, pubs and restaurants together with four new primary schools and a secondary school, all within walking distance of the development.

Connectivity is excellent here, with direct bus links and cycle routes to the city centre and regular rail services from nearby Radyr and Danescourt stations. The centre of Cardiff is less than four miles from a home here/

The show homes at Dôl Werdd are open from Thursday to Monday, between 10.00am and 5.00pm. Prices start at £342,950. Find out more at lewishomeswales.co.uk.
