Home of the Day – ‘The Elder’, Gentoo Homes

The WhatHouse? team reports on our current favourite new build home for sale – today, it’s ‘The Elder’, a three-bedroom house type the Gentoo Homes development of Bramblewood, situated in the village of Hetton-le-Hole in Tyne and Wear.

A number of plots of ‘The Elder’ have already been sold but there are two more currently on the market at £182,950 each (which, if you take into account the 20% Help to Buy loan, could be considered £146,360 as a combination of your 5% deposit and 75% mortgage). The show home here is also an example of ‘The Elder’. This is a semi-detached house type with some attractive brickwork in its exterior. Bramblewood is a collection of 130 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes almost equidistant from Sunderland and the cathedral city of Durham (15-20 minutes by road). The village of Hetton-le-Hole has some shops and plenty of leisure/sport options of its own, with plenty more at neighbouring Houghton-le-Spring, just a couple of miles away. Currently available are a number of two- and three-bedroom houses, priced from £128,950. The show home is open for viewing by appointment.
