Home of the Day – The ‘Chapelford’, David Wilson Homes
The WhatHouse? team reports on our current favourite new home for sale right now – today, we pick the ‘Chapelford’ house type at Woodland Rise, a David Wilson Homes development on the outskirts of Hexham, Northumberland.
This is a three-storey, semi-detached house type which comes with a single integral garage. The one on Plot 42 is currently available for £284,995 and comes with a south-facing garden. There’s a WC off the entrance hall and stairs lead up to the first-floor landing where in front of you is the door to a combined kitchen/dining room at the rear of the house with French doors to a decked area. At the front are a living room and a separate study/home office. Clockwise from the landing on the top floor are a single bedroom, the master bedroom (which comes with an en suite shower room), another double bedroom and the family bathroom.
The very popular government-backed Help to Buy scheme is available on all the three-, four- and five-bedroom houses for sale right now at Woodland Rise, which are priced from £284,995 to £549,995. Part Exchange is an option open to house-hunters with an existing home to sell. Hexham was very recently named as Britain’s ‘happiest place to live’ and has a good mix of shops, schools and amenities, as well as a station on the Newcastle-Carlisle line. It’s close to Hadrian’s Wall, and miles and miles of protected open countryside.
