Home of the Day – The ‘Gillespie’, Scotland

Posted 20 August 2021 by Keith Osborne

A brand new family house type announced by Dundas Estates is set for release at some of its developments very soon…

The upcoming release of a brand new house type by property developer Dundas Estates illustrates its plans to listen to consumer demand for well-appointed family homes.

The housebuilder will begin constructing the brand new four-bedroom detached ‘Gillespie’ home type at selected developments across Scotland. It will boast an integrated fridge-freezer and dishwasher, with more space and higher specifications than similar house types it already offers. Living space is a generous 1,411 sq ft, with a single internal garage and large kitchen dining area. Designed with families in mind, it comes with features such as a separate utility room and patio doors leading onto a spacious garden area. The home will also feature high-end internet connectivity through the developer’s relationship with broadband specialist, Hyperoptic.

The ‘Gillespie’ is set to feature as a show home at Dundas Estates’ brand new development, Gilbertfield Woods in Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire, as well as its flagship development Uphall Station Village in West Lothian.

Head of sales and marketing at Dundas Estates, Craig Fairfoull, said: “In response to our recent enquiries and amidst our exciting rebrand we felt this was the perfect opportunity to announce the launch of the ‘Gillespie’.

“As one of only a handful of independent developers operating in Scotland, we’re looking to rapidly adapt and modernise our business to enhance our clients’ experiences. One of the ways we are doing this is by introducing the ‘Gillespie’ to meet consumer demand. We have recognised that potential buyers are looking for more from their property developers; to provide homes that are good to move straight into from purchase. With that in mind, we have developed a house type that is aimed at meeting the needs and desires of many potential buyers.”
