Large Family Homes Ready For Spring Move In Silsoe

Posted 14 March 2022 by Keith Osborne

There are a number of new homes at the fast-selling Hayfield Place development which will soon be ready to move into...

Four- and five-bedroom detached family homes will be available to move into this spring at Hayfield Place in the Bedfordshire village of Silsoe. With over 90% of the sought-after development now matched with buyers, this final phase represents the last chance to own a brand-new Hayfield Place home.

There are four detached family home designs to choose from, ranging in price from £685,000 to £875,000. Hayfield is currently offering purchasers a £10,000 package of incentives to personalise each home, which can include agents’ fees, fitted carpets, additional fitted wardrobes, and garden landscaping. Part Exchange is on offer to eligible buyers purchasing a five-bedroom ‘Silsoe’ or ‘Bourton’ home, or a four-bedroom ‘Radley’ or ‘Harcourt’ design.

The last remaining two-bedroom ‘Napton’ bungalow is also in the final phase, priced at £525,000. Prospective purchasers can view a variety of the homes for sale to get a feel for the dimensions and flow of the space, the enviable countryside views, and generous parking allocation. Hayfield’s exclusive £5,000 Key Worker Discount will be given to all those who meet the criteria.

Kelly Sharman, sales and marketing director for WhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year Hayfield, said: “The demand for new homes far outweighs the supply. It’s the same scenario for car sales too. So, it’s very rare to be able to secure a premium new home without a long lead-in time. With the construction of the final phase of Hayfield Place in the advanced stages, we can give definitive completion timescales and welcome new purchasers during the springtime.

“In addition to the homes that are currently under construction, our five-bedroom ‘Southmoor’ show home is also available to view, reflecting a very similar design to properties that we currently have on the market. As there are only six family houses and one bungalow remaining, we would urge those looking to make the move to a beautiful new home to get in touch without delay.”

The 14-acre Hayfield Place scheme has been designed to reflect architectural styles from the sought-after historic village of Silsoe, weaving in local materials and detailing. The new homes are constructed in red and buff brick and render with a luxurious specification that is unmatched in the area. The specification features include underfloor heating, ROCA/Laufen bathrooms, Minoli ceramic tiles, Hammonds fitted wardrobes, Farrow & Ball paint, heritage bronze door furniture and bi-fold doors. The bespoke kitchens include a range of integrated Bosch appliances, such as multifunctional ovens, an induction hob, and a dishwasher.

A Renz Intelligent Parcel Box has been installed to enable parcels to be delivered safely and securely to those who aren’t at home. New public footpaths, a balancing pond, a biodiversity corridor that runs across the site, and a new section of bridleway and cycle route are all being created to connect Hayfield Place into the local Bedfordshire footpath network.

The nearby towns of Milton Keynes, Luton and Bedford offer a wealth of shopping, restaurants, entertainment and sporting facilities. Luton airport is 12 miles away, and Flitwick Railway Station is four miles away, making it an ideal location for those wishing to travel for pleasure or commute.

The show home at Hayfield Place is open seven days a week from 10.00am to 5.00pm. Find out more from Hayfield.

Case study: Sophie and Maxwell

A couple has relocated from London and north Kent to Hayfield Gate in the Bedfordshire village of Clifton to buy their first house together.

Sophie Henderson was previously living in a house share in Hackney Wick, East London, while Maxwell Smith lived in a starter home in Chatham. The couple has bought a four-bedroom detached Stamford home, which features an open plan kitchen/diner, and a spectacular principal bedroom suite, featuring a designer ensuite and dressing area.

29-year-old Sophie works for an ed-tech company based in Farringdon, while 34-year-old Max is a visual effects artist working in Chancery Lane. Both will utilise the 40-minute London commuter service from Arlesey station, which is only three miles away from Hayfield Gate.

Sophie Henderson said: “We had a wide ‘north of London’ search criteria when we were searching for our first home together, as I am from Northern Ireland and wanted to live in easy reach of an airport, while Max is from Leicestershire, so was mindful of journey times to the Midlands. We narrowed our search down the villages in and around Hitchin, as we loved the bustling market town vibe. We looked at several new build and second-hand options and found Hayfield to offer by the far the best value for money.

“All the living accommodation in our ‘Stamford’ home is so luxurious and we have four really good-sized bedrooms, which we’ll make the most of when friends and family come to stay. The double garage will be so handy too. Max is a keen photographer, so we are really looking forward to exploring the country walks in and around Clifton and making lots of new memories. We’ve even set up an Instagram account @our_stamford_60 to document our moving journey.”

Hayfield Gate is now sold out. Find out more about current Hayfield developments.
