Keith OsborneThe First Time Buyer Home Show returns to The Old Town Hall in Stratford, east London, on Saturday 2 March 2019 to give aspirational first time buyers all the information they need to know about becoming homeowners.
Open to visitors from 10.00am to 4.00pm and headline sponsored by SiteSales, a range of industry experts will be at hand on the day to provide free financial, mortgage, and legal advice, including explaining purchasing schemes such as Shared Ownership and the government-backed Help to Buy scheme, which is helping first time buyers to reduce their costs when climbing into the property ladder.
Lynda Clark, managing director of First Time Buyer Group, says: “We’ve designed the First Time Buyer Home Show to meet with the needs of today’s first-time buyer, as our team of helpful experts are ready to meet and answer any questions. All of the necessary information will be available – for free and under one roof – so it really is a useful event to come along to. As we get closer to our goal of demystifying the homebuying process and overcoming some of the perceived affordability barriers that exist in London, we can help even more first time buyers take their first step onto the housing ladder.”
Over 1,000 first-time buyers attended the show in Manchester in 2018. Among those exhibiting at the Stratford show include Taylor Wimpey, Higgins Homes, So Resi, Berkeley, Notting Hill Genesis, Peabody, L&Q, Which? and Help to Buy London.

Just ahead of this event, the First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards (the industry event which takes place on Friday 26 April) celebrated its 10th anniversary at The House of Lords, attended by private developers, housing associations, other housing professionals, property journalists and Escape to the Country’s host, Nicki Chapman.
Clark added: “We were so privileged to be able to celebrate the hard work done by so many in the housing industry to help future generations on to the housing ladder at The House of Lords. Times have changed since previous generations bought their first home and so much more support, guidance and financial help is now required. Everyone in the industry is helping one another and so it is thanks to the work done by so many that we remain a nation that can still aspire to owning our own home.”
