Key Worker Scheme Offered At West Midlands Region Sites
Key workers in the West Midlands will welcome the recent introduction of a purchase assistance scheme from David Wilson Homes at developments in Warwickshire and Staffordshire.
They can receive a deposit contribution of up to £15,000 for their new home thanks to the housebuilder’s latest offer, which has been created to say thank you to key workers for their tremendous contribution to society throughout the pandemic.
Key workers will be entitled to receive a deposit contribution of £750 for every £25,000 spent up to £15,000. So, for example, if you were to purchase a £200,000 home, David Wilson Homes would contribute £6,000 towards your deposit.
The developer is anticipating many to take full advantage of the offer, with the NHS, police force, fire service and education being just some of the sectors eligible for the deposit boost. A full list of eligible sectors can be found in the offer’s terms and conditions.
The homebuilder was an avid supporter of the NHS throughout the pandemic, including donating its entire stock of PPE masks and donations totalling more than £100,000. It also set up a deposit contribution scheme specifically for NHS workers at the start of the pandemic, which ended earlier this year.
David Wilson Homes also offers a 5% deposit contribution to members of the Armed Forces, to help military servicemen and women get their feet on the property ladder.

Dominic Harman, managing director of David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: “Our NHS deposit contribution scheme was launched for NHS staff at the start of the pandemic, as a thank you for their hard work.
“The scheme has already helped over 1,000 NHS workers to buy their own homes, saving them more than £10million in the process. We now want to show this level of support to all of our key workers, and we are extremely proud to be able to introduce this offer.”
