A new housing development in Dunholme is meeting the needs of local home-hunters – with nine out of ten buyers at the site coming from Lincolnshire.

In fact, nearly two-thirds of the 42 people who’ve bought or reserved a home in the current phase at Chestnut Homes’ The Meadows previously lived within just a five-mile radius of the village.

Chestnut Homes is delivering 275 new homes at the development, located off Lincoln Road, just seven miles north of Lincoln city centre. Two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom properties are currently under construction.

Helene Key, sales manager for Chestnut Homes, said: “There’s clearly a high demand for housing in the local area, which is reflected in the fact that 90% of the buyers at The Meadows are from Lincolnshire and 60% previously lived just a few miles away from the development.

“Local buyers already know what a great place Dunholme is to live, while those living in other parts of the county are attracted by the good road links to Lincoln via the A46. Residents at The Meadows can enjoy the best of both worlds: a village lifestyle with easy access to the city. Dunholme has a shop for day-to-day essentials, a village hall and schools for children of all ages, while there are additional facilities such as a pub and takeaway less than two miles away in neighbouring Welton.

“We have a great range of high-quality, good-value homes on offer at The Meadows, which means that local people at various stages of the property ladder can find something to suit their needs here.”

There’s currently a choice of three- and four-bedroom houses available to reserve at The Meadows, with prices starting from £239,950. Find out more chestnuthomes.co.uk.
