Housing Provider Offering New Homes In Worcestershire
Housing association Bromford is one of the UK’s most active builders of social housing and is also very busy creating homes to buy, using the profits to finance its affordable homebuilding.
Operating across the South West, Cotswolds and Midlands, the organisation has bold ambitions, with a goal of building 14,000 new homes between 2018 and 2028. The latest figures from Inside Housing has reported that for 2020/21 Bromford was highly ranked in the table of the number of homes it had built (902, of which 650 is social housing) and that it was sixth nationally for predictions for the near future, with expectations of a total of 1,547, 2,957 and 7,377 homes to complete over the next one, two and five years respectively.
Of its current new homes developments, two are in Worcestershire.
For buyers looking for a first home on a modest budget, the upcoming Shared Ownership apartments at Mount Gate in Redditch could be an ideal solution. Prices start at £58,000 for a 40% share of one of these two-bedroom homes, based on a full market price of £145,000. The buyer will pay a subsidised rent on the remaining percentage of the home and has the opportunity to buy further shares in the future (known as ‘staircasing’) until they own 100%. These homes come with open-plan kitchen/living/dining room, a double bedroom, single bedroom (or perfect home office) and a bathroom.
