Feature Development – Wilton Park, Beaconsfield

Posted 5 October 2023 by Keith Osborne

Bewley Homes has a real variety of property types for sale at the Wilton Park development in a sought-after Buckinghamshire town…

Beaconsfield has a reputation as being one of the most sought-after places to live in Buckinghamshire and the Home Counties, and it’s here that Bewley Homes is busy building a range of high-specification brand new properties to meet demand at its Wilton Park development.

It’s under a mile to Beaconsfield ‘Old Town’ with its period buildings, an array of independent shops and a good mix of restaurants and pubs. The ‘New Town’, with its further range of shops and amenities close to the station, are just a little further away, just a few minutes’ drive from home.

Now on its second phase, this growing development has been appealing to a very wide range of buyers thanks to a huge variety of property sizes and styles, from one-bedroom apartments that could be a perfect first home to large four- and five-bedroom executive homes with over 2,800 sq ft of living space. The designs vary from more traditional Georgian- and Regency-inspired types to a cleaner style of modern lines and finishes, all set out in attractive streets.

The latest range of house type here, known as the Regal Collection, have a specification that their name suggests. Fitted kitchens come with stone worktops and premium-brand appliances, and bathrooms and en suites have neutral tiling with fixtures and fittings in white and chrome. Depending on the stage of construction, buyers can choose from a range of kitchen unit styles and colours and flooring. There are plenty of distinguishing details to things such as door furniture, skirting boards and staircases. Underfloor heating on ground floors offers energy efficiency and house-hunters can ask the sales team about photovoltaic cells and EV charging points.

There’s a lot of green space surrounding the site including the fairways of Beaconsfield Golf Club, and with Beaconsfield being on the edge of the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are plenty of routes nearby for walkers, cyclists and horse-riders to enjoy. Numerous scenic villages are also peaceful escapes, with quite a few of them possibly ringing bells from appearances in popular television series.

Public and private transport is well catered for, a necessity for many commuters but also a boon for leisure time too, with endless options of things to do in London, Birmingham and Oxford. It’s just a couple of minutes to the A40 and M40, and with Beaconsfield and Seer Green & Jordans stations within easy reach, there are regular services into and out of the capital.

Bewley Homes is well known for the high standards of the properties it builds and is a multiple winner of prestigious WhatHouse? Awards, including Silver for Best Medium Housebuilder in 2022.

Of the available homes at Wilton Park, a few especially caught our eye.

‘The Kew’ on Plot 128 is an example of the contemporary-styled properties here, a 1,236-sq-ft detached three-bedroom house with carport and driveway. At the front of the home is a comfortable living room, and its past the utility room and cloakroom to the open-plan kitchen/dining room at the rear, with bifold doors to the garden. Upstairs, there’s a wow-factor to the principal bedroom with its en suite, fitted wardrobes and a private balcony. Bedrooms two and three – a double an single respectively – share the bathroom. This house is priced from £895,000.

Plot 96 is a house type called ‘The Chiswick’, combining a classical-inspired exterior with the thoroughly up-to-date interior. The hallway is very spacious and welcoming, indicative of the overall size of this home, some 1,526 sq ft of living space set over two storeys. There’s a chance to access the garden through French doors from two separate rooms, being the dual-aspect lounge and the triple-aspect kitchen/dining/family room. A utility room helps declutter the main room, and there’s a guest cloakroom too. A dedicated study may be a ‘must-have’ for many house-hunters these days. On the first floor, three of the four bedrooms are doubles, two of them having their own shower rooms. A family bathroom completes the layout. With a detached double carport, this new home is priced at £1.15million

There’s a ‘Buckingham’ show home to view at Wilton Park to provide a first-hand look at the house type as well as the general build quality and high standard specification to expect on the Regal Collection homes. The show house will also be inspirational for its understated interior design. From entering through the Regency-inspired portico to experiencing the abundance of natural light throughout, a tour of this house is worth a site visit.

A version called ‘The Buckingham V3’ on Plot 133 is set over three storeys and offers 2,357 sq ft of living space across its generously dimensioned rooms. Off the hallway to one side is a living room with feature fireplace and French doors to the garden. On the other side is an expansive open-plan, triple-aspect room which combines fitted kitchen and island worktop/breakfast bar with plenty of space for dining and lounging too, with another set of French doors to the garden from one end. A utility room and cloakroom complete the ground floor.

On the first floor are three sumptuous bedrooms, with largest having an en suite shower room and extensive fitted wardrobes, the others sharing a bathroom. The top floor is an appealing combination of double bedroom and separate shower room, making it a getaway from the rest of the house.

The great bonus with this property is the studio space above the detached double garage. This large room is a bit of an oasis from the house and with its own kitchen and shower room could be used as independent accommodation or an office/hobby room.

‘The Buckingham V3’ is priced at £1.5million.

Bewley Homes currently has its own Home of the Month, ‘The Bloomsbury’ on Plot 52. This is an end-of-terrace, three-bedroom/two-bathroom house with two off-road parking spaces. Priced at £845,000, reserving before the end of October 2023 brings with it the offer of Bewley paying Stamp Duty of £29,750.

A range of apartments is also for sale here, with one- and two-bedroom properties price from £350,000 to £595.000.
