Wildlife Attraction Of Scottish Housebuilder’s Best Gardens

Posted 16 February 2022 by Keith Osborne

National Nestbox Week highlights the importance of the best new homes gardens at a developer's Scottish sites...

This week (from Monday 14 February) is National Nestbox Week and the support of housebuilder Barratt Developments for this bird conservation scheme has brought attention to plots at its sites across Scotland that could make a perfect place to attract our feathered friends.

The developer – 2019’s WhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year – sells brand new properties in cities, towns and villages across the country under its Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands which suit a host of budgets and buyer requirements, and with outdoor space high on the priority list for many house-hunters, some of the currently available plots will be particularly attractive.

The company already has a national partnership with the RSPB and has created a quiz for National Nestbox Week which offers a chance of winning up to £100 in RSPB vouchers. Estelle Sykes, sales director at Barratt Developments Scotland, said: “We always try to give nature a home at our developments, creating new habitats as part of our long-term partnership with the RSPB. Alongside National Nestbox Week, hopefully this quiz can help get all generations involved in learning more about wildlife and nature.”

Here's a pick of some of the brand new homes for sale from Barratt Developments across Scotland which could be ideal for lovers of gardens and wildlife.

David Wilson @ Countesswells is part of a growing new community just four miles west of Aberdeen which offers a ‘greener’ lifestyle with countryside and walking trails to complement the shops and amenities.
