In the competitive East Midlands new homes market, as we approach the end of the year there are some excellent offers on the table at numerous developments and Barratt Developments – WhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year in 2019 – is offering many homes with discounts, upgrades and special deals.
We take a look at a number of current developments in the East Midlands regions under its two ‘sister’ brands, Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes.
There are just two homes remaining at The Wickets, Earls Barton. The near-complete development is surrounded by countryside, a local vineyard and picturesque lakes. There’s a linear park running through the development as well as a footpath link into the village, where there’s a post office, library, chemist, Co-op, coffee shops and 'Good' Ofsted-rated schools.

Plot 256 is the ‘Acorn’, a detached three-bedroom home with integral garage, priced from £424,995. It currently comes with savings worth £14,000 in the shape of £5,000 towards your deposit and an upgraded kitchen and flooring worth £9,000. Heathfield Nook is in Buxton and currently there’s a number of three- and four-bedroom homes available, priced from £239,495 to £348,995. It’s a great choice for families, being in an area with with lots of “Good” Ofsted-rated schools. The A6 heading north or south in only 10 minutes, making it ideal for commuting to work too.
‘Maidsley’
Plot 113 is called the ‘Maidsley’. This semi-detached three-bedroom house is priced from £239,495 and comes with upgrades worth over £3,640.
