Posted 22 April 2016 by Keith Osborne

House-hunters in the Shropshire county town will have another range of new build homes to consider from Saturday 23 April 2016...

Saturday 23 April is the launch day of Lovell’s latest scheme of new homes in Shrewsbury, when it opens the doors to Abbey Walk at a special event running from 10.00am to 5.00pm.

The new collection of two- and three-bedroom homes is likely to appeal to an audience of first-time buyers, young professionals and small families, who will have a marketing suite and two show homes to view from the launch event onwards. There will also be experts on hand to talk through the details of the Help to Buy scheme with potential buyers. Over 100 people have already registered their interest in the development, which is located on the north-west edge of the town.

“Such a high level of enquiries is a sign of the tremendous anticipation surrounding Abbey Walk,” says Lovell Homes field sales manager Michelle Barnsley. “We’re thrilled to have our first opportunity to showcase these beautifully designed homes in a location which is less than a mile from the town centre and railway station.

“Our new homes at Abbey Walk match the needs of a wide range of buyers, offering the chance to buy a brand new home in Shropshire’s historic county town - last year named the second-happiest place to live in Britain. The launch is an excellent opportunity to have your pick of these exciting homes.”

The two professionally designed two-bedroom show homes are an opportunity for buyers to look at the build quality, specification and finish, as well as take in some stylish inspiration on the latest interiors trends. The interior designers have aimed to combine style with practicality, however, highlighting how the modern layouts can suit the needs of an array of buyer lifestyles.

There are three primary schools within a mile and a half while for secondary education, The Grange School is less than two miles, and The Belvidere School and Sundorne School and Sports College are both less than three miles away.

The development is within easy reach of Shrewsbury’s historic and picturesque town centre and just 16 miles away from Telford. The Welsh border is only nine miles away, with Wolverhampton, Kidderminster and the whole of the West Midlands conurbation within 40 miles.

For rail travellers, Abbey Walk is under a mile from the town’s train station, which has regular services to Wolverhampton, Telford, Birmingham and Manchester.

The event and marketing suite are on Ellesmere Road, Shrewsbury SY1 2PT, and after the launch weekend it will be open on Mondays from 11.00am to 5.00pm and on Thursday to Sunday from 10.00am to 5.00pm.
