Homebuyer Event In Acton Trussell This Weekend
Vistry Group – which comprises Linden Homes, Bovis Homes and Vistry Partnerships – is staging an Open Day event on Saturday 2 April to publicise two schemes designed to make it easier for people to buy a new home.
The housebuilder, which has its Mercia regional offices in Dunston, near Stafford, is holding the ‘Moving Solutions’ event at The Moat House in Acton Trussell from 10.00am until 5.00pm to spread the word about its Home Exchange scheme and the heylo Home Reach initiative. An appointment can be booked on 01785 788312.
With Home Exchange, Vistry Group buys the customer’s existing home, taking all the stress out of the selling process, while the heylo Home Reach scheme allows eligible first-time buyers and those forming a new household to purchase up to 75% of their new property and pay rent on the remaining portion.
Sales staff from Vistry Group will be in two separate rooms at the venue, to answer any questions from visitors about the two different initiatives, available at developments across Staffordshire, Shropshire, Nottinghamshire and Cheshire.
Freya Halsall, marketing assistant at Vistry Mercia, said: “We have organised this ‘Moving Solutions’ event to support buyers at different stages of the property ladder – whether they need a little help to achieve their dream of owning their own home, or have a home to sell but want to make a quick and stress-free move.
“The event represents a fantastic opportunity for potential purchasers to come along and chat to our expertly-trained sales staff who will explain how they might be able to benefit from one of these excellent schemes that could help bring their dream home within reach.”
Vistry Group has teamed up with leading homeownership programme provider heylo to offer Home Reach. The government-backed scheme offers an alternative buying option for people who do not want to or can’t afford to, take out a full mortgage. It is available to first-time buyers and people forming a new household who cannot afford to purchase on the open market. To qualify, buyers must have an annual household income of below £80,000 and must not own another property when the sale completes.
Halsall said: “The heylo Home Reach initiative offers an affordable route into the property market for people who might not be able to access a 90% mortgage and is aimed at helping buyers looking at smaller properties which might make their first home.
“Buyers using the scheme can buy the home outright at a later stage, or increase their share of the property, or sell at any time they choose. In that respect, the initiative offers flexibility which can adapt to changes in incomes.”
With Home Exchange, Vistry Mercia will buy the customer’s existing home for a fair price based on three independent valuations and deduct that from the price of their new home.
Freya said: “The Home Exchange scheme removes the need for purchasers to find a buyer for their existing property, avoiding the potential complications of being in a buying chain and also sees people save on estate agent fees. This scheme can help meet the needs of purchasers looking to buy a larger property and enjoy more room and greater flexibility of living space.
“In particular, we have a range of properties available with Home Exchange at Bovis Homes’ Partridge Walk development in Stafford for those looking for a bigger home in a beautiful semi-rural setting just a few miles from Cannock Chase.”
