First Homes Released At Sprowston Development

Posted 11 August 2021 by Keith Osborne

Tilia Homes has unveiled the first homes for sale at Furlong Heath, taking shape on the fringes of Norwich...

Located on the fringes of Norwich in the small suburban town of Sprowston, Furlong Heath is a development of two-, three- and-four bedroom properties from Tiklia Homes, where the first phase has just been launched.

The first homes to be released include the two-bedroom ‘Thornton’, three-bedroom ‘Oakwood’ and four-bedroom ‘Castleford’, with the latter offering three-storey living. Priced from £245,000 to £345,000, all currently released homes at the development are available to purchase under the government-backed Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme.

With Help to Buy – available only to first-time buyers – the government lends up to 20% of the value of their first home. The purchaser funds the rest with a deposit of at least 5% and a mortgage for the reaminder. Because the Help to Buy equity loan is interest free for the first five years, the mortgage repayments will be lower than buying without the scheme. Help to Buy is available exclusively on new build properties and is subject to regional price caps. For the East of England, the maximum value for a home on the scheme is £407,400.

There are currently three ‘Thornton’ house types released for sale at Furlong Heath. It’s a two-bedroom home which features an open-plan kitchen/dining area, a living room with a storage cupboard and French doors leading out to the rear garden, alongside a downstairs WC. Upstairs features the master bedroom boasting a storage cupboard and an en suite bathroom, as well as a further bedroom which also includes an en suite.

David Thomas, regional sales and marketing director at Tilia Homes Eastern, commented: “We’re delighted to have now released our first selection of homes at Furlong Heath, offering housebuyers stunning homes in an ideal commuter location. Sprowston offers the best of both worlds with great connectivity to London and Cambridge from the nearby Norwich station to the beautiful Norfolk countryside just a stone’s throw away.

“Due to the idyllic location of this development and the competitive pricing, all within the Help to Buy loan bracket, we’re expecting the momentum to build as more house hunters in the area seek to make their move to this new community, embracing the many benefits of a new build property. Our marketing suite is currently under construction and should be ready to welcome prospective purchasers later this year.”
