First Glimpse Of New Edgbaston Scheme

Posted 18 October 2021 by Keith Osborne

Spitfire Homes has just released some CGIs of an upcoming luxury development in Edgbaston...

Spitfire Homes, is giving homebuyers a first look at a development of 43 new properties coming soon to the leafy Birmingham suburb of Edgbaston.

The new CGIs are of Beaufort, a diverse estate which will feature a mixture of 32 apartments and 11 houses, situated discreetly off Edgbaston’s Norfolk Road and just 2.5 miles from Birmingham city centre.

The centrepiece of the luxury estate is Weston House, an Italianate-style neo-classical mansion with a rich history dating back to the 1800s. Prospective homebuyers will be able to choose from six grand two- and three-bedroom apartments in the sensitively restored mansion, blending traditional architecture with contemporary living, with most of the apartments benefitting from their own outdoor space in the form of balconies, terraces or gardens.

BeaufortBeyond the Weston House apartments will be 26 new one- and two-bedroom contemporary apartments, along with two three-bedroom penthouses, each with their own outdoor gardens or balconies and parking spaces – including electric vehicle charging points.

Completing the estate are 11 houses, comprising of two imposing semi-detached Regency-style four-bedroom villas, seven substantial detached four- and five-bedroom homes and two former coach houses, which will be converted into a pair of charming semi-detached mews houses.

While the impressive CGIs offer a glimpse of what the apartments and homes will look like from the outside, interiors across the Beaufort estate will blend the latest trends in interior styles with features for practical modern-day living, with special care being taken within the restored properties to retain the character of the original buildings.

BeaufortBeaufort forms part of the Spitfire Homes Bespoke Collection, the moniker attributed to the housebuilder’s most exclusive residences in the most sought-after locations.

Matt Vincent, sales director at Spitfire Homes, said: “From the grandeur of the apartments within Weston House to the sleek styling of the new build houses, Beaufort offers prospective purchasers a wide range of options, with each home showcasing Spitfire’s signature specification and design-led approach.

“Edgbaston is a prime location, offering the best of both worlds, with excellent transport links and local amenities set in a stunning leafy suburb that is outside the hustle and bustle of city life. We’re already seeing strong interest in Beaufort, reflecting not only the high demand for homes in Birmingham and the Midlands, but a preference for residences that combine character with features fit for modern life.”

Joe Shorney, head of residential development sales at Savills Birmingham who is marketing the scheme on behalf of Spitfire Homes, commented: “Beaufort is set to be an incredible boutique development which is highly anticipated in the local market, bringing a collection of luxury and design-led homes to Edgbaston. With a number of early bird reservations taken already and pent up demand continuing to build from prospective buyers, ranging from young professionals and couples, to downsizers, families and investors, we expect Beaufort to be a roaring success.”
