Housebuilder’s First And Last Chances At East Of England Sites

Redrow has announced to house-hunters in East Anglia that there’s a first opportunity to buy at one of its developments in Essex, as well as a final chance to purchase at a near sell-out scheme in Bedfordshire.

On Saturday 23 October, the housebuilder will release the sixth phase of homes at Westley Green, a community of 725 homes in Langdon Hills, Basildon. The phase will see the launch of 29 three- and four-bedroom houses from Redrow’s award-winning Heritage Collection. Influenced by the early 20th-century Arts & Crafts era, the mix of semi-detached and detached homes feature a combination of traditional exteriors and contemporary spacious interiors.

Westley Green residents will benefit from the neighbouring 400-acre country park, meanwhile the new community created by Redrow will also feature several play areas, a trim trail and community allotments onsite. 305 homeowners have already moved in and are able to enjoy the green surroundings and adjacent nature reserve.

So far this year, a third of reservations were made by buyers moving out of London. Westley Green has superb transport links to the city, with nearby Laindon station and Basildon station both taking commuters into London in just over 30 minutes, and at least six trains to London running per hour during rush hour. Road connections are also excellent as the new homes sit close to both the A13 and A127, and both link to the M25.

Kerry McCoubrey, sales director at Redrow Eastern, commented: “In line with Redrow’s green initiatives, we are also delighted that residents will have the opportunity to ‘grow their own’ at our community allotments. Buyers will be able to purchase properties off plan and can personalise their homes through Redrow’s digital platform MyRedrow, enabling the selection of various extras and upgrades, including flooring, underfloor heating, and fitted wardrobes. For those looking to work from home, Redrow also offers several home office packages, whereby purchasers can reconfigure one of the bedrooms to incorporate dedicated home office furniture.

Three- and four-bedroom homes are currently available with prices starting at £434,995. In addition, all buyers at Westley Green needing to sell their current home can take advantage of Redrow’s Help to Sell scheme at no extra cost.

Time is running out for buyers looking for the perfect family home Caddington Woods, as only five homes remain at the development located off Chaul End, and just three miles from Luton and Dunstable, where prices start at £589,950.

Set against the backdrop of the Bedfordshire countryside, the final four- and five-bedroom homes mean that families could be ideally placed, with a whole host of well-regarded schools nearby and a new community centre. Located in Caddington Woods, Lyons Community Centre has been built as part of Redrow’s commitment to investing in the local area and has helped establish the developments community feel through regular activities and groups, suitable for all ages.

Among the last remaining homes is the detached ‘Harrogate’, priced at £589,950, which features a spacious lounge and a separate open-plan kitchen and dining area, while upstairs, the main bedroom is complete with an en suite, and the fourth bedroom could easily be utilised as a guest bedroom, home office or playroom. For those looking for something a little larger, the five-bedroom ‘Marlborough’ has serious kerb appeal and is priced at £704,950. It has an open-plan kitchen/dining with large bi-fold doors to the rear garden, a lounge at the front of the house and a separate multi-functional snug facing the garden, ideal as a second family room, gym or study for home office working.
