Places for People/ZeroC is focusing on some special properties at developments in Inverness, East Lothian and Edinburgh...

Places for People/ZeroC, a WhatHouse? Award-winning developer known for its residential and mixed-use developments across Britain, has named its Homes of the Month for June at a number of its sites in Scotland.

First up, at Longniddry Village in East Lothian, Home of the Month for June is ‘The Muir’, a two-bedroom home priced at £275,000. This coach house comes with high ceilings and sash windows and offers some 828.5 sq ft of living space. It could be a perfect choice for downsizers, with plenty of storage space for cherished possessions. Both bedrooms are doubles, there’s a family bathroom with separate bath and shower, and the open plan kitchen/living/dining room having all the worktops and units down one side, making it a very flexible area for layout and furnishings.

Longniddry Village features a range of landscapes spaces for all to enjoy and a new village green, restored mill pond and residential orchard. The local station offers regular services to and from Edinburgh and it’s only two miles to the A1, 20 minutes or so from the city centre.

Longdniddry village is currently offering a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes. Find out more from ZeroC.

The Engine Yard is a contemporary-design apartment building on Leith Walk in Edinburgh, and Places for People’s current Home of the Month there is Plot 279, which is a second-floor two-bedroom apartment with an open-plan main room with high-quality fitted kitchen as well as a decked balcony to enjoy views over the city. There’s also an en suite to the master bedroom in this proeprty. Lift access is provided to all floors and underground parking is available. This property is for sale at £345,000. As a bonus, Places for People is offering a free furniture package if you reserve this plot in June (terms and conditions apply). This will make the property a real home in one go, as it comprises sofa, coffee table, chair, media unit, a dining table, chairs and selected small appliances, a double bed, headboard, bedside tables and wardrobe.

It’s only ten minutes from the city centre but has some great amenities nearby and even has a gym onsite. The range of one- and two bedroom apartments at The Engine Yard currently start at £255,000. Find out more from Place for People.

At Tornagrain, around eight miles from Inverness, is the 'Kerrowaird', a charming four-bedroom home featuring modern country design with desirable period features such as a wood-burning stove, sash windows and high ceilings. This family home also features a garden room which would make the perfect spot to work from home. I could make the ideal family home with three spacious double bedrooms upstairs and one smaller bedroom that still provides plenty of space for a kids’ room or home office. This home is priced at £375,000.

Tornagrain is inspired by historic urban towns of the region, such as Nairn, Grantown-on-Spey and Fort William, and is building homes in the local vernacular design and materials such as slate, stone and wet dash render in order to fit in to the area. The community will benefit from lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy such as tennis courts, an allotment, and woodland walks. Local forests and the Cairngorms provide a whole variety of options for cyclists, hikers and dog walkers. Attractions close by include the famous Culledon Woodland and Battlefield Trail, Cawdor Castle and the white sands of Nairn beach. Find out more about Tornagrain from ZeroC.
