Show Homes To Open At Two North Somerset Developments

Newland Homes is launching brand new show homes this weekend in Claverham and Churchill...

Newland Homes is celebrating a busy six months this year with the opening this weekend, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 June, of two new show homes at its developments in north Somerset – Newland Homes at Court de Wyck in Claverham and Mendip Gate in Churchill – as well as offering incentives on certain plots.

A three-bedroom ‘Tetbury’ show home will be unveiled to the public for the first time at Court de Wyck. This three-storey, semi-detached house has a principal bedroom on the top floor, with a galleried landing, generous walk-in wardrobe and en suite shower room. The open-plan ground floor enjoys a sun room with floor-to-ceiling windows.

At Mendip Gate in Churchill, a four-bedroom ‘Hartpury’ show house will be launched on the same weekend. The ground floor of this detached house flows seamlessly from a contemporary open-plan kitchen, through to a sociable and light family room and a spacious lounge. A separate dining room makes for intimate dining or could dual up as a working from home space.

As part of its special North Somerset ‘Best of all Worlds’ weekend, Newland Homes is offering £10,000 off the purchase price of selected homes reserved that weekend.

New residents who are already making the most of everything that the region has to offer are Sue and Mike Brown, who have recently moved to Mendip Gate in Churchill to be closer to their grandchildren. Like most of the UK, they were separated from their family over the lockdown periods, so they sold their previous house by Newland Homes in Gloucestershire and relocated to North Somerset with their four dogs. Sue said: “The walks in the area are spectacular. We can walk out of our front door and take the dogs across the Mendip Hills, where we can see all the way down the Severn Valley to the Severn Bridge.”

Alison Bowen, sales manager for Newland Homes, commented: “The last couple of years have undoubtedly made us all reassess our homes and our way of life. The South West region has always been a popular lifestyle choice, but we’ve seen demand rise phenomenally in recent months. It’s a beautiful part of the world, with the backdrop of the Mendip Hills, a short drive from the beaches at Brean and Weston-super-Mare, and within easy striking distance of Bristol and Bath. It’s easy to understand what’s attracting people to the area.”

Newland Homes is embracing the latest technological advancements to make homes more sustainable and economic to run, without compromising on their style. Each detached home at Court de Wyck and Mendip Gate will have up to eight solar panels, marking a significant contribution to the sustainable credentials of these homes. Homes also come with rain harvesting water butts and composter areas in the garden where possible, together with integrated eco-bins in the kitchen, to help facilitate new habits of recycling waste. Furthermore, wiring provision for electric car charging points is included where possible, futureproofing homes for hybrid or fully electric vehicles. Homes also benefit from the provision of a superfast fibre broadband connection, with at least two data sockets within the home.

At Court de Wyck, the design of the new homes has been influenced by the development’s historic setting, centred around the Grade-II listed Court de Wyck Georgian manor house and its former chapel at the heart of the scheme. The original walls of a 14th-century Tithe Barn have also been retained on site and integrated into the development. The individually designed, stone and render homes are nestled at the end of a long driveway of established trees, giving a mature and secluded feel to the area. Two-, three- and four-bedroom homes are currently available from £305,000 and Help to Buy is applicable on specific properties.

Mendip Gate is on the edge of the spectacular Mendip Hills and the homes benefit from the high-end specification that Newland Homes has become synonymous with, such as integrated Neff appliances and Villeroy and Boch sanitaryware. Detached homes are currently available from £380,000.

Appointments for the show home launches are available between 11.00am and 5.00pm on the Saturday and Sunday. Find out more at www.newlandhomes.co.uk.
