Muddy Boot Event To Take Place In Moggerhanger

Posted 14 October 2021 by Helen Christie

Living Space Housing is holding a Muddy Boot event on Friday 15 October from 12 – 5pm at its Woodbury Gardens scheme in Moggerhanger...

There is only one home still available for sale at the niche development, which is a four-bedroom detached Hertford design priced at £570,000.

The eco-friendly home features Solar PV panels, a double garage and generous front and rear gardens. Attendees to the Muddy Boot event will be able to walk round the whole house and get a feel for the dimensions and flow of the space. To coincide with the event, Living Space is offering a £10,000 Stamp Duty contribution, and will also cover the cost of selling agent fees on a purchaser’s current home, in association with Elevation Estate Agents.

Steve Davies, managing director of Living Space Housing says: “A Muddy Boot event provides a great opportunity to show prospective purchasers around a home while it is still under construction, enabling the craftsmanship that goes into each of our homes to be seen in full view. It will also enable us to talk about how these homes are constructed and point out all the energy saving features, such as the superior insulation and Solar PV panels.”

Woodbury Gardens is accessed off Park Road, just along from Moggerhanger Park; a Grade I Listed house with 33 acres of park and woodland. Moggerhanger Primary School and a range of local amenities are also close by, while the nearby towns of Sandy and Biggleswade both have train stations providing direct services to London in around 45 minutes.

The new family homes are being constructed with a mixture of red brick and render, and the design, planning and construction of the development all reflects the enviable and scenic setting. The quality specification includes contemporary fitted kitchens, complete with a range of integrated Bosch appliances and Quartz worktops and upstands. All bathrooms and en-suites feature Porcelanosa wall tiling and complementary Karndean flooring.

Photovoltaic panels are being installed onto the roofs of the Woodbury Garden homes and could deliver energy savings of around 35%. The low-maintenance energy solution will significantly reduce the carbon footprint of each new household, lower electricity bills, while also enabling the residents of the new family houses to capitalise on the Smart Export Guarantee, by receiving payments from their chosen utility provider for the renewable energy that is exported back into the grid. Homeowners can also choose to add storage batteries to the solar PV system, install electric car chargers, or charge hot water cylinders, in order to further enhance the eco credentials of their home over time.

Moggerhanger village is highly popular with locals, while also appealing to those looking to relocate out of a big town or city. Moggerhanger is situated on the A603, two miles from the A1 at Sandy. It is just four miles from the A421 Bedford bypass and 20 minutes from the M1. The village is easily accessible from London, Cambridge, Milton Keynes, Birmingham and Oxford.

Living Space has five other residential developments currently under construction located in Herefordshire, Oxfordshire, Shropshire and Warwickshire.
