New Middlewich Retirement Community To Officially Open

Posted 17 March 2023 by Helen Christie

BBC’s David Harper is set to officially open a new retirement community in Middlewich…

BBC’s antiques expert David Harper will be in Middlewich on Thursday 23 March to officially open a new retirement community in the town.

David will join homeowners and visitors to celebrate the opening of Roman Court, a Retirement Living development by WhatHouse? Award-winning developer McCarthy Stone. He will be at the Wheelock Street development between 2pm and 4pm to cut the ribbon and kick-start celebrations.

David will also give a talk on his life as antiques expert and share anecdotes from his career, before giving more detail on objects of interest brought in by visitors.

Guests will be able to take a tour of the show apartments and speak to the McCarthy Stone team about the unique lifestyle on offer, before enjoying light refreshments.

Louise Flynn, divisional marketing manager at McCarthy Stone, says: “Everyone is really looking forward to having David Harper come and officially open Roman Court, where a lively and welcoming community of like-minded people is taking shape. He’s a great speaker and it promises to be a fascinating day, and we are excited to hear about his life as an antiques expert. Events such as this are part of the fabric at Roman Court, where homeowners can enjoy an enviable set of on-site facilities alongside top-quality homes, with the option to join in when they want, and enjoy peace and quiet at other times.”

Half of the 50 one- and two-bedroom luxury apartments have already been snapped up by local retirees seeking to make the most of their golden years through a fulfilling lifestyle in a welcoming community.

On-site facilities include a communal lounge, the perfect place to forge new friendships, well-maintained landscaped gardens available to enjoy all year round, and a handy guest suite where friends and family are able to enjoy an overnight stay.

Peace of mind for homeowners is ensured through the latest security features who will also have access to a dedicated house manager during office hours. Wheelock Street itself boasts a choice of shops, cafes and bars, while Middlewich has three canals running through its centre, all great for a relaxing stroll.

Prices at Roman Court currently start from £183,499 for a one-bedroom apartment and £249,899 for a two-bedroom apartment. Flexible finance options are also available.

All are welcome to join the event, including prospective buyers and their families. Places are free but should be booked in advance by calling 0800 8821 829.
